Team8s and Counting Onwards

(Not a Chapter) So...what's been up with me?

Hey everyone,

I'm realizing it's been waaaaay too long since I last uploaded here, so, I thought I'd give you the run down of what's been going on. To start, no, Team8s and Counting is not getting canceled. I love this book so much and have so much more I want to do with it, and I'd hate to leave what I have planned just sitting in my head. Really, there are three main things that have contributed to this story's current inactivity:

I just finished up my first semester of my sophomore year of college, which was certainly something. I switched majors at the end of last year, and because of that, I had to take a lot of core classes this year, which were harder then the classes I took last year to say the least. Between that and working when I can, there just hasn't been enough energy for me to think about writing this book.

I think another big thing that's been tough is BFDIA still going on. I want to have this plot with the girls watching the show and learning about their parents...but now that two of the final three are both parents of two of the girls (and those two have a really good chance at the final two), it feels like I need to know who wins, because no matter which of the two finalists wins (assuming one of them does), it's going to open up a lot (and I mean A LOT) of doors for me.

And lastly, something happened that I really, really, did not want to happen. To keep it simple, there is a main ship in this book that is becoming really hard for me to enjoy writing (stupid, I know, but it's been a real reason why writing has been difficult). I won't say which one it is, but anyone who follows me on twitter/x might have a good hunch of what ship it is. It's been hard for me to come to terms with the fact that it's nearly impossible to write this ship anymore, and while I do have plans to change it's status quo very soon, it's been tough for me to figure out what I'm going to do long term. Although, over the course of these past weeks, I have a decent plan in mind that's going to keep me happy without altering the overall flow/concept of the book too much. Regardless, I thought you deserved a heads up on what may feel like a very sudden change.

Now that I'm away from college, BFDIA is wrapping up (I have a plan in mind until it officially ends), and I'm ready to write the pretty big status quo change, I really hope I can get you guys another chapter before the year ends. I'm sorry for leaving you guys in the dark for so long, but I hope this clears some things up. I'm excited to get the ball rolling on this story again, and I hope I can get back to writing a little more frequently again (currently I'm aiming for biweekly, but who knows, it may be more).
