Mathew was my boyfriend last year before I left for Florida. Now I don't know where we stand.

"Mady!" He looks at me in disbelief.

"Mathew! Haven't seen you in a long time."

"Yeah, so how have you been?" He asks.

"I've been good, I'm having some memory problems but it's coming back.

"Oh." his smile fell.

"Yeah."

"Since Mady is having memory problems I'm,teaching her how to surf again."

"Fun. Need any help?" He asks.

"Sure."

"Ok, Mady you ready to catch your first wave?" George asks.

"Wh-what?" My voice cracks as I ask him.

Mathew chuckles before saying,"You won't be riding big waves, just the waves that are around three feet tall."

I let out a sigh of relief.

"Lets go to shore so we can show you your stance." George says before paddleng away.

We both follow him.

"Ok so you should stand in the middle of the board with your knees bent." George instructs.

"Ok. You want to try to ride now?" he asks finally.

"Yeah, um sure."

"Don't worry, it will be fine." Mathew reassures me and I can't help but smile.

Soon we charge back out to sea.

I let out a shakey breath before paddling towards the wave. I stand ballencing my self on the board, I start to move forward. I'm riding a wave! Adrenaline runs through my veins as I finish the ride. I laugh in excitement when I make it to our little group.

After a couple of hours of surfing, I have surfed more comfortably on bigger waves.
