The morning light in Haven was different than normal—warmer, fuller, as if the sanctuary itself had absorbed the chaos of the previous day and transmuted it into a gentle calm. Haven's resonance threads hummed low and steady, adjusting to the new rhythms of its residents. In the kitchen, Narya moved with quiet grace, her hands steady as she stirred a pot of cinnamon-spiced oatmeal. The scent of roasted sweet potatoes, honey cornbread, and sage-infused eggs filled the air. She wasn't just cooking. She was tending.

Since bonding with the triplets, Narya had become a force of quiet restoration. She checked the oven, wiped the counters, and adjusted the lighting to a soft amber glow. Her movements were fluid, maternal—not in the traditional sense, but in the way a sanctuary becomes a hearth. Jas wandered in, barefoot and hair tousled, with Jace behind her blinking against the light. "You're nesting," she said, grabbing an apron from the hook.

Narya glanced up, amused. "I'm feeding people. Good morning Jace," she said with a warm smile as she set his plate in front of him. He nodded softly, and she graciously accepted it as his version of thank you.

"Exactly," Jas replied as she watched Narya's gentleness with her own brother. "You're nesting. It's soothing. Therapeutic, even. Do you need any help?"

Narya handed her a pitcher of juice and a tray of glasses. "Pour juice and milk for the kids and set plates for everyone. No rush. Everyone will join shortly."

Jas nodded, falling into rhythm beside her. There was no bossiness in Narya's tone—just nurturing and care. Just family time. She hummed softly as she worked, a melody that Haven picked up and echoed through the walls.

Upstairs, Kai slept deeply, his body still recovering from the previous day's drain. His pulse signature flickered between gold and blood-red, a quiet storm beneath his skin. The triplets remained in neurostasis, their vitals syncing steadily with Haven's systems. Their bodies glowed faintly, glyphs pulsing in time with Kai's breath.

In the tactical room, Caimen stared at the data stream, eyes wide. The holographic map shimmered with color-coded pulses—Leo's anomaly trackers lighting up across the grid. "Leo," Caimen called through comms. "You need to see this."

Leo arrived moments later, coffee in hand, scanning the interface. His color-coded anomaly trackers pulsed across the map—not as alerts, but as quiet signals. Potential allies. The triplets' data had accelerated overnight, and Kai's signature was syncing with theirs.

"Is this a merge?" Leo asked.

"No, it's more like a tether," Caimen replied. "They're syncing to Kai while he sleeps. It's not invasive—it's reciprocal."

Leo tapped the interface, sending a neurosync to Eden. Moments later, Eden stormed in, his Enigma energy preceding him, flaring like a blade unsheathed, sucking the air out of the room.

"What does it mean?" he demanded. "Is Kai hurting? Are the triplets draining him? Do I need to kill them?" He asked with a weighted pressure suffocating them.

Caimen raised both hands pleadingly. "He's safe. The upgrades are beneficial. It could be why he's still asleep, because his system's integrating everything."

Eden's energy pulsed, heavy and protective. Leo winced under the weight, his own neurosystems flickering in response.

"Eden," Leo said gently. "He's okay. Really."

As Eden weighed his emotions, Haven sent an alert:

SYNC COMPLETE.
UPDATES COMPLETE.
PULSE OMEGA AMPLIFIED.
NEW SKILL ACQUIRED: PULSE TRIAD.

They all looked up. "Pulse Triad?" Eden echoed, reining his energy in. Caimen rose to his feet, able to breathe again.

Before they could speculate, Kai entered looking absolutely radiant, glowing with a mix of gold and blood-red light. He looked stronger, steadier, like something ancient had awakened inside him.
