The Archive Vein pulsed beneath Haven's foundation like a buried heartbeat. Eden stood at the edge of the central conduit, watching vibrating threads shimmer across the stone—light braided with memory, energy folded into silence. Kai stood beside him barefoot his presence softening the air around them.

Everyday it seemed the Vein had begun to respond to their bond in new ways. Not just with data, but with invitation. Eden's neural thread registered the shift first—an encoded and encrypted pattern buried deep in the sanctuary's core. It wasn't a warning. It was a door.

Kai's fingers brushed Eden's wrist. "It's calling us."

Eden nodded. "Let's answer it then."

They stepped into the conduit together, the walls adjusting to their presence. Glyphs flared across the floor, forming a spiral of light that led downward. The air grew warmer, thicker, charged with something Eden couldn't name. Kai held his breath and Eden felt it in his own lungs.

The Veinlight chamber was circular, carved from the same resonance stone throughout Haven. Its ceiling was etched with symbols that pulsed in sync with their bond. In the center stood a platform—low, wide, and humming with energy. Eden stepped onto it first, his neural thread syncing instantly. Kai followed, his body folding into Eden's side like a prayer.

The chamber responded.

Light surged upward, wrapping around them in a cocoon of memory. Eden felt his father's voice echo through the glyphs, layered with Kai's father's emotional signature. The bond flared, and the vision began.

They stood in a field of stars—not sky, but illusions, memory. Around them, figures moved: prototypes, failed bonds, echoes of the program. Eden saw himself as a child, eyes burning, fists clenched. Kai saw his mother, holding him close, whispering truths the system never erased.

The vision shifted.

They saw Haven being built—stone by stone, thread by thread. Their fathers working side by side, arguing, laughing, grieving. Eden's father carving the sanctuary's shielding protocols. Kai's father embedding emotional resonance into the walls.

Then the scene switch again. To a location. A lab of sorts. Where the betrayal took place.

Cash's voice, distorted, panicked. The data leak. The rogue Alphas mobilizing.

Another scene switch.

Kai's mother shielding him with her body, Eden's father sealing the last layer of Haven's encryption.

The vision dimmed.

Kai collapsed into Eden's arms, trembling. Eden held him, dominant and steady, the bond pulsing between them like a sacred vow.

"They built this for us," Kai whispered.

Eden kissed his temple. "And we'll protect it with all we have."

The chamber released them slowly, the light folding inward, the glyphs dimming. Eden stepped off the platform, his neural thread still humming. Kai followed, his body soft, his eyes burning.

They returned to the tactical interface, the sanctuary adjusting to their emotional state with quiet grace. Leo waited, silent, watching.

Eden scanned the ley-grid. "Looks like there's movement near the Sector 9. It appears to be a cluster of Omegas orange color you assigned to search for them."

"Actually Leo helped program the colors since he was familiar with the list already, Kai said.

"I want to help where I can," he said. "I assigned orange heat syncs to Omegas, green to Alphas and blue to Betas to make it easier to identify them. I also assigned red to everything else, so if it's red it's a problem."
