Chapter 15: I Really Miss Him

Start from the beginning

I abruptly stood up from my bed. My face hardened and I clenched my fists.

In a flash of two seconds, Jack was pressed up against the wall.

I could hear Evelyn shouting my name, but I ignored her.

"What do you mean you can't find her?" My voice was low.

He looked calm about the fact that he's against the wall but I could tell he was worried sick.

"We went into her room and the wasn't there." He replied.

"And we also asked the maids if they've seen her leave and they said 'no'." Evelyn added.

It suddenly became hard to swallow. My throat was dry. I couldn't even speak.

"Maybe we can go spread the word and see if anyone knows where she is." Evelyn suggested.

Before anyone could blink, I was already out the door and out of the house. I could hear both of their feet thumping behind me as we all ran to where the ceremony was being held. The center of the village.

Everyone was outside setting up for the celebration. No one seemed to he fazed about the crisis going on here.

Alright, I am overreacting here.....

She's probably off in one of the shops or wondering around, exploring the village.

I walked up to the stage where some people were decorating a stage. An idea popped in my head and I made my way onto the stage. Some people gave me confused looks, but I ignored them.

I grabbed the microphone that stood in the center of the stage. "Attention everyone." I spoke into it. A few people looked but not everyone noticed I was trying to talk. "HEY!" I growled with anger and bitterness.

Everyone's head snapped in my direction. "Has anyone s-seen R-Rachel?" It suddenly became hard to speak as different scenarios played in my head. And believe me, most of them were not positive.

Everybody looked confused. "ANYONE??!!" I shouted once again. They all flinched but said nothing.

Suddenly this random girl spoke out. She looked about 5 and she seemed shy, "I saw her go into the woods about an hour ago." I could barely hear her but I knew what she was saying.

The edges of my lips curled down, forming a frown. "Oh shit." I muttered under my breath.

"Zach, something's not right." Panther suddenly blurted out. His voice was trying to stay calm and steady, but I knew he wasn't.

"No shit!" I snapped back at him. How stupid can he get?!

It was silent for a few seconds. "Have you tried mind-linking her?" He asked, a bit of mock in his voice.

Wouldn't he know since he's a part of me if I tried.

Wait a minute...... I CAN MIND-LINK HER!!! I forgot about that!!!

"Rachel, are you okay? Where are you? Why did you go into forest? It's dangerous! Rachel? RACHEL? GOD DAMMIT RACHEL!!! IT'S NOT FUNNY ANYMORE! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU!!!!?????" I started bombarding her with questions.

She didn't answer. And that's when I realized she was in trouble. I clenched my firsts so hard that my knuckles started turning as white as paper.

I heard a crunch, so I looked down. The microphone in my hand was now broken into pieces. I allowed the pieces to fall on the stage. I didn't care. That was the least of my problems right now.
