Zane slides a steaming plate of eggs in front of me, leaning over the table and winking as he hands me a fork. "She's always cute." He quips and I yank the fork out of his hand.
"Eat up, sweetheart. I meant what I said about making it a priority." Raising his pierced eyebrow he dares me to argue with only a look, and I blame my stomach for why I start eating with no bratty comebacks.
They each sit beside me as we eat in a charged sort of silence. Once finished I push my plate away, grabbing the glass of orange juice he placed next to me and gulping it greedily.
I wipe my mouth, sitting back with a content sigh and they each share a look as they smirk. Clearing my throat, I sit up straighter and get to the point.
"So, thank you for helping me last night. With my car.. I mean. But I need to call a tow truck and-"
"Already done." Hayden cuts me off and my head whips over to his, pinning him with a curious look. "I had it towed here, I've always been good with my hands. Let me help."
I swallow hard, my gaze flicking to those hands that I know he is good with. Grumbling I hide my face in my juice, taking an unnecessarily large gulp before setting it down.
"Um, thank you but you didn't have to.. I can always figure something out if it's.."
"You could never be an inconvenience." His brow furrows as he takes my hand, pulling it close to his face and I cup his cheek instinctively. "Let me do this, I can fix it." He seems so sincere, almost pleading and I let out a slow breath.
"Okay. Thank you." I say softly and his face lights up with a grin. "But I can't stay here. I'm going to call Jade, see if she'll stay with me at my dad's until he's home."
Hayden's smile falters slightly, his eyes narrowing as his hand holds my wrist. "You don't need to do that, baby. You're just fine right here, with us."
Zane leans in behind me, brushing my long hair over my shoulder and speaking in my ear. "I thought you realized after last night, you are ours. You don't need to run off, you're exactly where you belong."
His words send tingles down my spine, my nipples tightening as heat floods down low. "But- I have to feed my cat." I whimper, both of them stilling before Zane lets out a low chuckle.
"That's your excuse? A hungry cat?" I glare over my shoulder at him, his green eyes full of mirth and I hiss. "She's not just a hungry cat, she's my cat. And I haven't fed her since yesterday."
"So we'll go get her." Hayden says easily, releasing my wrist as he stands and gathers our plates. "You can both stay here."
I gawk at him, my mouth opening and closing like a fish as he turns away to take the dishes to the sink. "What? Thought we'd put up a fight over a cat?" Zane leans in, kissing the side of my neck and I can't stop the shiver that goes through me. "We'd do anything for you."

An hour later I'm sitting in their car as we pull up to my dad's house. My eyes sweeping around the empty road and homes nearby in the early light, always watching for a mask or helmet hiding in the distance.
Hayden cuts the engine, his warm hand brushing my knee over his sweatpants. "Hey, as long as you're with us you're completely safe. I promise."
Zane leans up from the backseat, sweeping my hair off my shoulder and leaning his chin on me. "You don't need to look for shadows, that's our job." His voice is teasing but firm and I take a deep breath.
"I just need to feed her and grab some clothes." I mutter, opening the door and stepping out into the fresh air. Sitting in a confined space with them and their smells mixing can make me feel so.. hot.
