The figure stepped forward, and Jack's eyes widened in surprise. It was Emily, a former ally who had gone missing months ago.
"Emily?" Jack's voice was laced with surprise and caution. "What are you doing here?"
Emily's eyes locked on Jack's, and he could see the determination in her gaze. "I've been working undercover, Jack. I've been gathering intel on the organization from the inside."
Rachel's eyes narrowed. "Why didn't you reach out to us sooner?"
Emily's expression turned grim. "I had to keep my cover intact. But now that Alex is gone, I know I can trust you. I want to help you take down the organization."
Jack's mind was racing. Could he trust Emily? She had been missing for months, and he didn't know what she had been doing.
"What do you know?" Jack asked, his voice firm.
Emily's eyes locked on Jack's. "I know who's behind the organization. I know who's been pulling the strings."
Rachel's eyes widened. "Who is it?"
Emily's voice dropped to a whisper. "It's someone close to the top. Someone who will stop at nothing to achieve their goals."
Jack's eyes locked on Emily's, and he could see the fear in her gaze. "Who is it?" he asked again, his voice low.
Emily's eyes darted around the area, as if she was checking for potential listeners. "It's..." she began, but before she could finish, a loud noise echoed through the area.
