Episode 13
Sophia's finger tightened on the trigger, and Jack's heart skipped a beat. He didn't want LaGraine to die yet; he still had questions.
"Sophia, wait!" Jack shouted, but it was too late.
Sophia pulled the trigger, and LaGraine's body slumped to the ground. Jack's eyes widened in shock as Sophia turned to him, a cold smile on her face.
"Why?" Jack asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Sophia's smile grew wider. "LaGraine was just a pawn in a larger game, Jack. And I've been playing a different role all along."
Rachel stepped forward, her eyes locked on Sophia. "You're not who we thought you were, are you?" she said, her voice laced with curiosity.
Sophia chuckled. "Let's just say I'm a wild card, Rachel. And I've been playing both sides against each other."
Jack's mind reeled as he tried to process what was happening. Sophia, the woman he thought he knew, was a complete stranger. And Rachel, the woman he thought he could trust, seemed to be in on something.
The room fell silent, the tension between the three of them palpable. Jack knew he had to make a move, but which way would he go?
Suddenly, Sophia's phone buzzed. She glanced at the screen and smiled. "It's time to take the next step," she said, her voice dripping with excitement.
"What next step?" Jack asked, but Sophia just laughed.
"You'll find out soon enough, Jack. The game is far from over."
