Chapter 5 - Basics in Behavior (2/3)

Start from the beginning

In a flash of unfathomable speed, the teacher broke off into a sprint towards the group. Before anyone could even contemplate or fathom the idea of running away deeper into the complex, it was already far too late as Mister Maus closed the previously lengthy distance between them in a matter of moments.

"Wha-"

THWING!

"G-GAAAAAAH!!!!!"

Mister Maus, having sensed and known of Abbie's inherent weakness first and foremost, targeted him first. With a quick wave and thrust of his cutting tool, he sliced into Abbie's abdomen, not only knocking him a fair distance away, but also almost killing the student immediately upon initial impact. Blood trailed the flailing student as his intestines coiled up and hung on by a tightly knit thread.

The always-frightened student slammed against a nearby cluster of lockers with a sickening CRUNCH.

No one had the ability to even understand what just occurred.

"...Abbie?"

"ABBIE!!!!!!"

Lana seemed the worst off as she immediately broke off into a sprint towards the fallen student, something that Mister Maus appeared to relish in as he let her go without issue. Tears began to well up in her eyes, kneeling next to him as she ripped off her sock puppets and grabbed his shoulder with her own clawed hands. "N-no... no, no, no, A-Abbie? A-Abbie... wake up, please!"

She sobbed endlessly into his lifeless corpse, her cries unrelenting and unwavering.

"Слабачка. Жалкая, словно бумага для папирос. Эллис будет очень недоволен, не то чтобы меня это сильно волновало," Maus stated coldly, folding his arms as he gazed upon his handiwork. "Your feeble cries for mercy will go unheard. No one will save you."

Engel barely managed to tear his eyes away from the locker Abbie's seemingly lifeless corpse was thrown awkwardly upon, and back onto the homicidal teacher. Gritting his teeth and clenching his fists with a degree of anger that he had never felt before in his life, his rage boiled beneath the surface. He had known Abbie since they were elementary school students, and now here he was, minutes, if not seconds, away from dying the brutal death bestowed upon him.

"You..."

"Ты последний."

Mister Maus, in a move that surpassed any degree or ability of perception that Engel could possibly have at this point, rushed past the feathered demi-human, a large gust of wind picking up that momentarily blinded him.

And straight to Bubble.

"W-wait, wait, wait, WAAAIT!!!!"

CRUNCH!

THWACK!!

The teacher wasted no time to visit his next victim on the chopping block: Lana.

"...J-just kill me already, you sick fu-"

SLIT!!

As the deranged teacher wiped off the gory blood that stained his weapon, he then quickly turned his head to the final two students remaining... before fixing his concentrated gaze on Claire alone. He made slow, methodical movements, as if a predator stalking its prey—a macabre thought, one about to manifest into reality.

But, refusing to let the last of his friends die, Engel stepped up in front of Claire in a vain attempt to protect her. "Claire, I need you to listen to me carefully. I need you to run. Now, I know it sounds stupid, but he's blocking the way out. If this is the exit I'm thinking of, then there should be another one not too far away from here... an emergency one, or something. I'll try my best to hold him off, but I can't let you die."
