Y/N's gaze remained on Ragatha, their breath caught in their throat. They knew what it was like, to not have the best home life, or the most caring parents in the work. Jax sadly looked into his drink, tracing the rim of the glass with his gloved finger, before returning to his usual boasting demeanour.

Jax: "Aaaaand, no point in asking Kinger, 'cause there's no way he remembers anything!"

Kinger: "Never better!"

Pomni: "...Do you guys know about his wife?"

Jax: "Huh?"

Kinger: "MY WHAT??!"

Zooble then proceeded to hand Kinger his corncob blitz, the chess piece letting out a small "oh". Jax flinched back at the sight of corn, Y/N took notice of this and repeatedly glanced from the corncob blitz to Jax. Zooble noticed Jax's reaction to the drink, curious. The purple rabbit then proceeded to scoff when a red mannequin sporting a cowboy hat entered the bar. (DISAPPEARING GUY MY POOKIE🥹)

Mannequin: "He-" Then he disappeared.

Pomni: "...What?"

Y/N: "Okay, then...-"

R/N: "He was weird."

Jax: "For once, I have to agree with R/N."

R/N immediately fell backwards off of her barstool, ranting about how Jax agreed with her. Literally none of the cast was listening to her, though, so Zooble cut in.

Zooble: "That's Disappearing Guy, that's just what he does."

Pomni: "I see..."

Y/N: "I take it he's from a previous adventure?"

Jax: "Yeah, God, darling! You didn't know that?"

The purple rabbit proceeded to look smug at Zooble, earning confused stares from Pomni and Y/N.

Zooble: "I'm ignoring you."

Y/N: "'Darling'? Another nickname??"

Jax spun around on his barstool to face Y/N, leaning his elbow on the counter and giving them a wink, before turning his gaze to Pomni.

Jax: "By the way, Pomni, sorry about the whole presidents thing. I just thought it'd be funny."

Pomni: "Uh, are- are- are you apologising? What's happening?"

Y/N: "I think he's drunk after one drink." Y/N spun around to face Jax with a smug grin, before continuing their sentence, "Look who's the drunk one now~"

Jax rolled his eyes playfully before Zooble spoke up.

Zooble: "Just ignore him."
