Jax (Y/N): "...Uhh...what do we do now-"

The two stood in the middle of nowhere — which was supposed to be the adventure they had to get along in — having no idea what to do whatsoever. Jax (Y/N) began to wonder around the white space (which supposedly resembled the void in a way), Y/N (Jax) following closely behind.

Y/N (Jax): "I'm so confused right now."

Jax (Y/N): "Tell me about it— ...Jax?"

Jax (Y/N) swivelled around to find Y/N (Jax) nowhere in sight. Exhaling with irradiation, Jax (Y/N) facepalmed and continued to wonder. Of course Jax would run away, why would he not?

It was until everywhere around became pitch black that Jax (Y/N) stopped in his place, silence filling every corner. Looking around frantically, panic slowly rose up his body, "Y/N-? Or- Jax?? Where are you??"

...

No answer.

Scared for Jax for once, Jax (Y/N) began to frantically search the lifeless void for Y/N (Jax).

Jax (Y/N): "JAX??!!" was yelled repeatedly, yet no reply.

Hopelessness and despair filled Jax (Y/N)'s body as their legs slowed to a stop, close to giving up on their search.

Distance footsteps echoed far off, increasing every few seconds. That could be Jax..! Jax (Y/N) pondered, before speeding off in the direction of the rushed footsteps.

Jax (Y/N) knew that Jax was fast, but the speed of the running they were doing was extremely fast. They stopped in front of a large corn maze, staring up at its capacity. Jax (Y/N) gaped up at the maze, considering their options. They could either enter the maze and search for Y/N (Jax), or they could go find him somewhere else.

Swallowing hard, Jax (Y/N) pushed themselves through the maze. The sky high corns loomed over them, almost judging and laughing at them.

"GET AWAY FROM ME!!"

Jax (Y/N) heard what their voice used to be before the body swap, immediately knowing it was Y/N (Jax).

Jax (Y/N): "JAX!, where are you??!!"

Before Jax (Y/N) could register any reply, loud rustling was heard from behind them. Sweat rolling down their head, Jax (Y/N) swivelled around to face the direction of the rustling. The corn behind them began to close in, trapping them in the maze. Horror displayed all over their face, Jax (Y/N) sprinted in the other direction, clenching their fists as they ran.

After what felt like years of running, the corn stopped closing in. Jax (Y/N) ceased their running and bent over to catch their breath.

Jax (Y/N) continued to search for their "companion", checking every corner and dead end of the maze. It was until they spotted a familiar someone getting ambushed by levitating corns that Jax (Y/N) took action. Sprinting towards
Y/N (Jax), who was cowering in a dead end of the maze — whilst being surrounded by levitating corns — Jax (Y/N) scooped up Y/N (Jax) in their arms and began to make haste.

Y/N (Jax): "W-Where—"

Jax (Y/N): "Shut up and hold on."

Y/N (Jax) obliged, grasping the straps of Jax (Y/N)'s overalls tightly. It wasn't long before Jax (Y/N) located the exit of the maze, dashing out of it flawlessly. When they were sure they were a long distance away from the corn maze, Jax (Y/N) let out an exasperated exhale and sat down on the non-existent floor of the void, gently placing a shivering Y/N (Jax) next to them.

Sighing, Jax (Y/N) placed a hand on the quaking individual's shoulder, rubbing it back and forth reassuringly.

Jax (Y/N): "So like...are you scared of corn or something?"

Y/N (Jax) tensed up at the mention of "corn", nodding vigorously. The periwinkle rabbit (who technically was Y/N) exhaled sharply, pulling Y/N (Jax) into their extensive arms, caressing their back softly.

Jax (Y/N): "We got away from them now, so don't worry your head off, k?"

Y/N (Jax) slowly nodded into Jax (Y/N)'s shoulder, a muffled "mhm" escaping their mouth. It was quiet, in a calming way this time and not in a menacing way. Jax (Y/N) and Y/N (Jax) sat in the middle of a silenced void, embracing calmly.

The serenity was soon interrupted by a familiar voice. The two stared up at the pare of dentures as a ringmaster, who was staring down at them innocently.

Caine: "I have to give it to the both of you, that was beautiful. I never thought you two could just get along like that! It's pretty impressive actually."

Caine flicked his gloved fingers, a surge of power rushing through Y/N (Jax) and Jax (Y/N)'s bodies. They had both been restored to their normal bodies, which felt amazing.

Caine: "I'll send you two back to the circus now!!"

Jax and Y/N then found themselves in the middle of the stage in the circus, still embracing on the floor. Flustered, the two quickly let go of each other, scrambling to their feet. Fortunately, no one was around to witness that.

Y/N: "...Well, that sure was something."

Jax: "Agreed."

Y/N: "Well, I'm gonna go...to my room now. You just go do whatever you need to."

The periwinkle rabbit nodded, watching as Y/N slowly made their way toward their room.

Y/N's POV:

I held onto the door knob of the door to my room, until I felt a familiar hand grasp mine. I swivelled around to face Jax, who stared down at me with almost wide eyes.

Jax: "I don't think I've said this already, but..thanks for..well— earlier.."

Heat rose up Y/N's face as they let out an amused and flustered chuckle, "Oh— uh, no problem! I couldn't really just leave you in that maze."

Jax: "Yeah., bye..heh.."

Y/N watched as Jax made his way toward his own room, their face looking like a tomato.

so um I kinda love this chapter ALOT but I also think it's super cringe HELP 😭
