(Sorry that this chapter is so FUCKING short. I had no ideas and I'm a bit late to Valentine's Day so I wanted to get this shit out as soon as possible)

Third person POV :

The digital sun had slowly sunk beneath the horizon, the sky soon becoming a dark blue. The stars shone brightly, adding a sense of serenity in the circus for once. The circus grounds were quiet, except for the occasional rustling trees. No one was around, as they were all asleep...

Well, except for one...

Jax sat alone at the edge of one of the circus' balconies, looking down at the paper in his hands. He sighed, clutching the paper tightly.

???: "Jax..?"

The rabbit swivelled around to face the interloper, ears twitching. His eyes widened as Y/N stepped closer, watching his every move.

Jax: "...Hi- AH-"

Y/N sat down next to Jax, which for some reason startled him.

Y/N: "Shut up, for gods sake."

The rabbit simply stared at the girl, shuffling away slightly as he clutched the paper in his other hand. Y/N took notice of this, giggling slightly.

Y/N: "Are you like...scared of me or something-?"

Jax: "N-No—"

Y/N: "Okay then."

Y/N turned to look at the sky, Jax hesitating but doing the same. The two stayed silent, just staring at the sky that looked down on them.

Y/N: "...The sky is pretty..."

Jax: "Yeah..." Not as pretty as you...

Silence. Again.

Y/N: "Are you okay?"

The statement seemed like more of a command than a question, like Y/N was demanding to be answered. Jax's breath hitched as he looked at the girl, having trouble finding the words for the first time ever.

Jax: "Y-Yeah—! Why wouldn't I be..? Hehe..."

Y/N kept her eyes fixated on Jax, reading his facial expressions.

Y/N: "You've been acting weird for a few days...and it's bugging me."

Jax: "I'm just fine, sweetheart. You don't need to waste your time on thinking about me."

Sweetheart..

Y/N: "You haven't called me that in a while-"

Jax: "What? Sweetheart? I dunno, it just suits you I guess."

Y/N stood up, making the rabbit immediately turn his head to look up at her.

Jax: "Where are you going?"

Y/N: "Chill out, I'm not going anywhere. My a[WACK] just hurts."

Jax chuckled, standing up.

Jax: "You weren't even sat down for a minute."

Y/N: "YEAH...! Well.. I stand up most of the time..!"

Jax: "So do I!"

Y/N: "Yeah yeah..."

The same silence stood between them for the third time, until Jax subconciously placed his hand on Y/N's thigh, wrapping it around her waist and pulling her closer. The two started at each other — clearly shocked — but not moving away.

Jax wrapped his other arm around Y/N's waist, Y/N doing the same around his waist. The two slowly swayed from side to side, almost as if they were slow dancing. Jax was unsure on why he was doing this, but he oddly enjoyed the moment, whilst Y/N embraced herself in the moment and leaned her head against his chest.

The dance slowed to a stop as the two stared at each other, Jax looking down at Y/N whilst Y/N looked up at him.

Blushing, Jax slowly releasing his arms from Y/N's waist.

Jax: "Uhh— I...havetogoBYEE-"

Y/N: "Yeah me too-"

Shortly after Y/N left the balcony — without turning back — Jax turned around and drops the paper on the balcony floor on purpose, before quickly escaping back into the circus.
