You are half of my soul.
Though we are apart,
I see myself when I
lay my eyes on you.
We're parallel in
so many things,
like two souls apart
yet stitched as one.
Our souls delight
in the rising and setting of the sun,
beholding in wonder
as we gaze at the moon
and its stars.
We crave connection-
real, genuine, soul-deep.
We have longed for someone
who cares-
someone we can be vulnerable with.
The way we're both alone,
yet hate to be lonely-
a blessing born from a curse,

We are threads
of the same weave,
like mirrors facing each other.
All of your hopes, dreams,
loneliness, and longing
match my reality.
And in some unearthly way,
I believe
we were made for each other.
