The path to Vevra

"Professors, please — let us speak seriously," said Silvius. His voice was gentle yet powerful, steady yet sharp enough to cut deep.

"Now, we have to figure out who will be sent to the real world to bring these children to us," Silvius continues. "It is indeed a dangerous and risky job."

"Us Vervillians don't belong in such an environment," said Professor Cornellias, looking worried.

"Yes, I know that. In fact if we don't act carefully, I see no good future awaiting us. Since no one else is willing to go, perhaps I will."

"No, you can't," muttered Professor Minevra. "We need you to stay right here, where you belong."

"Professor Peter, I assign you this mission — to retrieve the children," added the headmistress.

"It would be my great pleasure to serve you with my life." replied the school's greatest potion weaver. His calmness indicated deep trust in the headmistress's orders.

The Starfell family are one of the greatest families on Vevra. The first to ever teach at the school centuries ago, and since then they passed down the headmaster's title through generations.

The people have grown to trust and admire them. Committed and dedicated, they work tirelessly to make the school a better place, proving their worth year by year.

"It's simple, I will invoke my Veyra to send you to our human-world entrance. You will receive a special map to guide your way. Act normal and don't use your Veyra until all the kids are at the entrance. That is when you'll use your Veyra to open it and teach the children how to enter." explained Professor Silvius.

"I will make sure to do just that, headmaster."

"Great, I knew we could count on you," answered Silvius, giving his sister a soft smirk to signal they had chosen the right person.

Professor Peter smiled, shyly with pride. He was always striving to improve in his perilous field: potion-making. While known potions were safe, creating new ones, and testing them, posed an entirely different level of danger.

And even while knowing that, Professor Peter still dedicates time to perfect and refine his potions.

Hence, Silvius Starfell affectionately calls him 'Peter the Potions Man.'

The meeting comes to an end, and all the teachers go their separate ways.

Professor Silvius returned to his office in the classroom building.

An unexpected knock on the door surprises the headmaster.

"Come in," he said.

Professor Peter enters the room, wearing his usual calm smile.

"Sir, I am sorry to disturb you, but I have some thoughts I can't seem to let go of," said Peter.

"You may proceed."

"Well, I wanted to ask you when I should start preparing myself for the mission, and I'd like to know the plan as well."

"Here is the plan: I will begin calming down the children's Veyras and sending them signals that something good is coming. After a few days, I will signal you to start the mission. I will provide you with a special human-world map to guide you efficiently. Bring the children to the entrance at Kynance Cove, a magical sea-like area with turquoise oceans sparkling with magic. I will open the portal, line up the children, and teach them the path to our land. Start preparing today."

"But Professor, do you think I am capable of doing this?"

"Well of course you are. You are indeed. You are the most capable person to do this job than any other person on this very little island." said the headmaster, his voice fierce and reassuring.
