The path to Vevra

Back in the real world, two children — Emma and Harry — sat quietly with letters in their hands.

At the same moment, their hearts raced with anticipation.

It felt as if the world was about to change. Everything suddenly felt... different.

They both tore open the envelope.

An unfamiliar scent, like citrus or fresh berries, drifted out with the letter.

They hesitated, unsure what they might find inside.

The letter had no address. It simply appeared, right in front of Harry and Emma.

They took a long, deep breath, closed their eyes, and opened them.

Both letters read:

The great school of Vevra

TOP SECRET

From: The school headmasters.

In agreement with: Other school councils and the citizens of Vevra.

This is a calling.

We need your help, our little earthlings — our final hope.

If this message finds you, it means that you have been chosen, out of the 8 billion humans on Earth.

You are to become the next guardians of a small island called: The Island of Vevra, in the middle of nowhere.

Please keep the contents of this letter confidential.

Until further notice — we'll be seeing you very soon.

By order of the Veyra,

Silvius Starfell.

SILVIUS S.

Questions flooded their minds. What in the bloody hell is going on?

It was so unexpected, so completely out of nowhere.

Emma found herself sitting on the roof as usual, while Harry sat in the remains of the forest near the little old pond, next to the ghost of a bear lingering in his memory.

The letter was mysterious yet inviting. Warm and welcoming, yet somehow cold.

Strange how quickly things can change.

The future is uncertain. So, it's best to wait and hope for the best.

On the island of Vevra, a tense discussion was underway regarding the task of bringing the children to Vevra.

The school headmaster, Professor Silvius Starfell, was sitting alongside his sister, Minevra Starfell, the school's headmistress.

The other teachers sat across from them, filling the long staff table of the Great Hall.

"The letters are sent, now what?" said Professor Juniper Bond, teacher of the whirlwind-Bond class.

"We must wait, dear Juniper," replied Minevra, "Patience is key."

"We can't wait for too long — we risk our secrets being told, or worse, someone might read the letter!" Professor Juniper's worried smile barely concealed her anxiety.

"Didn't you hear?" said Professor Cornellias Stormhart, who teaches calculus and arithmetic.

"Hear what?"

"The messages have been bewitched to only be shown to those who possess the power of Veyra."

"Oh well thank goodness, now there are fewer things to worry about."
