"I may have, potentially, been eavesdropping on your conversation with dad." Harper admitted quietly, offering a sheepish smile as she observed the exasperation that took her mother's features. Andrea rolled her eyes, elbowing Allison who released a snort, opening her mouth to begin scolding her daughter who offered a weak defence "I was years ago. I-I was like nine."
"Fine, i'll allow it to slide this time-" Andrea lifted a finger when Harper perked up, the auburn haired girl faltering as her mother continued "on the condition that you stop eavesdropping on conversations that don't involve you."
"Do I still need to agree considering you and dad share most things now?" Harper questioned, pursing her lips as she recalled the countless conversations that had been shared throughout the small family. Andrea simply quirked an eyebrow making the girl lift her hands in surrender "Fine, fine. Deal."
"Good, now-" Andrea's words fell silent when Allison's body collided with another. The books she had previously been clutching scattered the floor, onlookers cast curious glances before quickly looking away upon realising nothing interesting was taking place. Identical irritable expressions were exchanged between the mother and daughter when their eyes fell to Scott McCall.
"Oh my god!" Allison released a harsh breath, apologies laying on the tip of her tongue until her head rose, smile stretching her lips as her eyes fell to the boy "You scared the hell out of me."
"You're okay." Scott's expression was one of pure relief, seemingly moments away from some form of a mental breakdown. Andrea's eyes narrowed, the boy was always somewhat odd, to put it politely, but this was strange, even from him.
Allison chuckled lightly, attempting to regulate her heartbeat and allow air to consumed her lungs, as she bent down to collect the scattered books, Scott quick to offer a hand "Once my heart starts beating again, yeah."
Scott's eyes lingered on her form, his stare unwavering, gaze twisted with something unsettling- something akin to wonder combined with possession and it left the elder sister on edge. "Hey!" Both teenager's eyes fell to Andrea whose jaw was locked, stare piercing the boy's skull as she gestured to between her sister and the books "Stop staring and help her before I pluck your eyes from your skull and force-feed them to you."
"I'm just happy to see her." Scott's defensive tone was unable to hide the increase in heartrate, his nerves skyrocketing the longer Andrea's stare pierced his skull.
"Yeah, i'm sure you were creeper." She plastered a false smile, fiddling with the silver necklace that she never removed. Harper released a snort, amused eyes dancing between her bored and rather irritated mother, the embarrassed aunt, and the teen wolf who looked fearful of for his life.
"Andrea, stop." Allison's pleading eyes bled her soul, softening her edges and allowing a crack in the harsh exterior. Andrea Argent had faced to many hardships within life to still be the bubbling girl she once was, her heart now hardened and guarded, her doe eyes haunted and each passing face in the crowd now deemed a threat- Scott McCall was no different, especially after the stunt pulled with the police. To the younger of the sisters it was extreme, and mildly embarrassing. To the eldest, it was necessary. "Please."
Rolling her eyes, Andrea peeled her mouth open before the speakers screeched, capturing all attention as the principle's voice sounded "Attention students, this is your principle. I know you're all wondering about the incident that occurred last night to one of our buses. While the police work to determine what happened, classes will proceed as scheduled." Groans erupted throughout the halls, each individual disappointed with the news "Thank you."
"Save me a seat at lunch?" Allison wondered, reaching out and playfully ruffling the boy's dark strands.
Scott wore a dopey smile, head nodding rapidly as he hurriedly agreed "Yeah."
