(3) THE INTRODUCTION

Start from the beginning

The world moved past - buildings, trees, fading golden light -
but her mind wasn't in the car.
It was still at the gate.

Still lost in his eyes.

That boy.
Taehyung.

There was something in the way he looked at her - not like a stranger.
Not like someone meeting her for the first time.

But as if he already knew her.
As if he was waiting for her.

Why... why does it feel like I've seen him before?
Why does my heart feel like it knows him already?

She absentmindedly touched the back of her neck -
and felt that same soft sting of warmth on her moon mark.

"Yah~ Y/N-ah," Jungkook said gently, glancing at her. "Did you hear me?"

Y/N blinked, pulled from her thoughts.

"Ah-sorry, Oppa. What did you say?"

"I was asking how your first day went," he chuckled. "You've been staring out like you're in a drama."

She laughed, brushing off her thoughts. "It was nice. A little confusing with the schedule, but I loved it."

Jungkook smiled. "You'll get used to it. I'll help you out too."

"Thank you, Oppa."

She smiled at him - warm and grateful -
but that sensation still pulsed gently at her neck.
Faint, but unshakable.

---

Meanwhile...

The city lights were starting to glow outside the car windows as Jimin drove through the dusky streets.

In the passenger seat, Taehyung leaned back quietly - one hand near the side of his neck.

He hadn't spoken much since they left the university.

His mind was... full.

Her eyes.
Her name.
Moon...

Why did it all feel so familiar?
So real?
So old?

His hand drifted to the back of his neck again -
the same spot where the strange warmth always appeared in his dreams.

But today... it happened while he was awake.

"Taehyung?" Jimin asked suddenly. "Are you thinking about our next basketball tournament?"

Taehyung blinked, shaken from the trance.

"Ah-yes," he said, adjusting in his seat. "Actually... I was thinking about new techniques. Maybe I'll test them tomorrow."

Jimin grinned. "That's more like it."

He kept driving, talking about their next practice schedule.

But Taehyung...
Taehyung wasn't really listening.

He was still trying to figure out...
why a girl he met today felt like a memory he'd been carrying forever.

The night settled gently over the city, its hush wrapping the streets in silver calm.

In her cozy room, dimly lit by her desk lamp, Y/N sat quietly at her study table - a soft breeze fluttering the curtain near her window.

Dinner with her family had ended. Laughter, warmth, stories about her first day.

But now... she was alone.

The world outside faded as she opened the drawer and pulled out something precious - her diary.
The one she never let anyone touch.

She ran her fingers over its soft cover.
Worn slightly at the edges.
Filled with secrets only she knew.

She opened to the first blank page and smiled faintly.
Then, before writing anything new, she flipped backward - skimming entries from the past few months.

"It started on the night of my 17th birthday... the first full moon."

The words stared back at her - soft ink, steady lines.

"I saw him in my dream. A boy... standing beneath the moonlight.
I couldn't see his face clearly - but his eyes... his eyes were like they were waiting for me.
Like he knew I would come."

Y/N exhaled slowly, her fingers pausing on the edge of the page.

No one else knew.
Not her Appa.
Not her Eomma.
Not even Jungkook Oppa.

Just her.

Only this diary knew about the dreams - the ones that came with every full moon since she turned 17, four months ago.

She flipped forward.

Each entry held quiet details.
Moments that repeated.
The boy standing near the water. The glowing moon behind him. His voice calling her name - softly, almost afraid.

And tonight...
she added a new entry.

Her pen moved slowly across the page.

> "I met someone today.
His name is Taehyung.
My brother's friend.
He looked at me like... like he already knew me.
My heart felt strange. Familiar.

She stopped writing.
Close the diary gently.

Then looked toward the window.

The sky was clear.
The stars twinkled quietly - and the moon, though not full, still shone with a soft silver glow.

She stood, crossed the room, and gazed out quietly.

Her fingers reached back to touch the base of her neck.
That familiar warmth again.

She exhaled softly.

Then turned, walked to her bed, and slipped beneath the covers.
The breeze whispered through the window.
The moonlight touched her cheek.

And as her eyes fluttered closed...
