Billie's POV​

I sit at the table and put my head down slowly closing my eyes. Obvioulsy I cant eat anything because then she will probably realise that it is me so I pretend to be tired. I put my head down at an angle so that i could see whats going on. Something I did notice was every now and then Ashley would take a forkful of Reese's food instead of taking more from the sharing bowl.

"Im going to quickly run to the loo"Ashley said getting up before staring at Reese as she was heading into the house. Reese kept her head down, didnt make eye contact or conversation with anyone on the table. Somthing is seriously wrong.

"So Reese, tell me about hwo you and Ashley met" Finn asked.

"We met at a nightclub in the UK" She said without even lifting her head up in a sad tone of voice.

I cant hide anymore. Once I was sure that Ashley was in the toilet I whispered to Reese "Reese" Instantly her eyes shot open when looking at me and hugged me. I moved my sunglasses sightly so we can make eye contact and thats the first time ive seen her properly smile.

"I'm not interrupting anything am I?" Ashley said heading over to the table and instantly I put my glasses back on while Reese pulls out of the hug and carrys on playing with her food. "No ma'am" Reese said making eye contact with Ashely. The rest of the dinner went okay, we mainly just sat in silence.

"Reese want to come in the kitchen and help me get the drinks?" Claudia said with a worried look on her face and instantly Ashley jumped in getting into Reese's face.

"What have you told her" She said walking over to the side me and Reese are on.​

"Nothing i swear." Reese said "Guys, tell her" she said almost pleading

"Ashley calm down. She hasn't said anything. Thats the problem" Claudia spoke and from that instinct I knew that she messed up.​

"What do you mean by that" Ashley said in response louder leaning forward in the chair looking more at Claudia.​

"Cant you see. Reese. She use to be so happy always talking to people and now she's acting like she's too scared to talk." Finn gently nudged Claudia's side to tell her to be quiet. I dont know what Ashley is capable of. I am proud of Claudia for standing up to her but at the end of the day Reese is most likely going home alone with her. "No Finneas. i understand she is our guest but I'm not gonna sit back and ignore the fact that someone who use to be social and someone who would join every conversation, has barely said anything" Claudia reaches over grabbing Reese's hand and held it which infuriated Ashley even more.​

"Fine whatever" Ashley said walking away to the deckchairs by the pool

Reese POV​

I couldnt help but feel bed. I know I shouldnt but I've never seen Ashley give up that easily. I know when we get back to the house my life will not be worth living but maybe I could make it up to her slightly if i showed to her that i cared.

"Im just going to check on her, Ill be back now" I said getting up and headed over to the seats that Ash was sitting on.

Billie's POV

"I fucking hate that bitch" I said and we all agreed as Reese reaches Ashley

"See Finn it wasnt my imagination something is seriously wrong"

While Finn and Claudia bicker back and forth I couldnt help it but keep my eyes with glued onto Reese. Like if I pay attention to something/ someone else something bad is going to happen. Thier conversation all of a sudden started to get a bit heated and the both stood up. In about 5 seconds their volume went from talking normally to yelling.

"You better go tell them we are going home" Ashley said and instantly Reese's face scrumpled up

"No, I havent seen them forever Im not leaving"

"Reese im going to count to 5 and I swear to god if you arent heading over their ill beat your ass when we get home" As soon as she said that we all become more alert watching them closely and getting ready to move if something does happen.

"No! end of" Reese said walkig a step closer to Ashley "What are you going to do about it huh? You know you cant do anything while we are here." Without Warning Ashley agressively pushes her. she stumbled back a couple of steps before falling into the freezing cold pool. We all ran over to her and I grabbed the leaf net so she grab onto it to help her get out.

As she climbs out the pool she is physically shaking with how cold she is. "Are you okay? I asked and she nodded in response. I looked at her now running make up to see a massive black eye. I try and think of something quickly before Claudia and Finn see. I grab my glasses that was once on my face and handed it to Reese "Reese, you have a black eye? It looks so fucking sore." I said in a worried tone. She grabbed the glasses putting them on before thanking me. We walked back over to where everyone else is to see Claudia having another go. "Be fucking realistic. You dont love her. Anyone who cares about her would have gone into help her or maybe I dont know not pushed her to begin with.

We joined the group and Ashley looked at me with the eyrbrows furrowed until it hit her "Billie?"

Finally I took off the mask and the extra clothing "Why the fuck would you do something like that?" I questioned stepping forward while she stepped back.

"I dont know. Im sorry i wasnt thinking" She said with puppy dogs eyes. Like im going to fall for that. I grabbed a towel and passed it to Claudia so she can wrap it around Reese. Once the towell was around her she pulled the towel closer around her to keep her dry when we all caught a glimpse of something

"Is that a bruise on your wrist?"
