I didn't expect much when Connor Sharpe followed me back.
Just some random notification while hanging out with my best friend.
But one simple "hi" turns into something neither of us saw coming.
A couple of years apart, different grades, and a millio...

After school we all met up at the skatepark just like we promised Marcus.
Marcus was already there when we arrived, casually leaning against the rail. He pulled out a small cooler from his backpack, and I couldn't believe what I saw, three big bottles of Jägermeister and two bottles of vodka. The whole group's eyes went wide.
"No judgment," Marcus said with a grin. "Just a little something to kick off the night."
Connor glanced at the bottles, then at Marcus, a flicker of something unreadable flashing in his eyes. Aidan shrugged and grabbed a bottle of vodka, Jake took one too. Yumi and Laura exchanged glances but took the Jäger, and so did I.
The first shot hit my throat like fire, and I blinked, trying to steady myself. But the buzz hit fast, warm, dizzy, and everything suddenly felt a little too funny. I laughed more than usual, my words slurring just slightly as the night went on.
The world spun a little as Marcus showed off tricks on his skateboard. He helped me balance on the board, grabbing my hand to steady me. I could feel Connor's eyes on us again, a jealous tension I couldn't miss, but I was too tipsy to care.
We kept drinking, laughing, teasing, and the night blurred into one long, hazy moment. Then suddenly, everything went black.
I don't remember how I ended up lying on the grass, the stars swirling above me. My head throbbed, and my stomach churned, but the buzzing warmth was still there, soft and distant.
I'd definitely crossed a line tonight.
I could barely keep my eyes open. The world had tilted sideways in the most confusing way, and my legs refused to obey my brain's commands. The last thing I remembered was Marcus laughing as he pulled out another bottle of Jägermeister, and me taking a swig that went down too fast and too strong.
My head pounded like a bass drum, and a thick fog clogged my thoughts. I was absolutely, undeniably drunk, way beyond what I ever intended.
"Y/N? Hey, hey, look at me," a concerned voice cut through the haze. Connor's voice. Clear, steady, familiar. He crouched down beside me, his hand on my back, steadying me.
"Hey, you're gonna be okay, alright?" His eyes searched mine, worry knitting his brows together. "Can you stand? Try to sit up."
I blinked slowly and tried to push myself up, but my limbs betrayed me, and I collapsed back against the grass.
"Easy," Connor said, guiding me gently. "Don't push yourself too hard."
My gaze flicked around and caught Yumi, who was pacing nervously nearby, hands fluttering like she wanted to do something but didn't know what.
"We can't go home like this," she said suddenly, voice pitched with panic, well she was not really panicing she was acting like the good friend she is "Your family's gone for a month, you can't be alone like this."
