"What about pets? Did you have any growing up?" Lydia chuckled as she was chatting with the boy. They'd been talking about several different subjects for the past three hours and somehow it was passing the time quite fast. The plane was now very lit up and the plane was flying over the Atlantic. Stiles had opened the window a few times just to check progress and Lydia had craned her body over his to see it.

"Actually, yes. I had two dogs and one cat. Well I have one cat now but my roommate Isaac is taking care of him at the moment. He goes to Beacon Hills community." Stiles smiled at the girl, who for once in his life wasn't interested in his father's business.

"Oh so you live in an apartment?" She seemed a little puzzled.

"Oh, yeah. I've lived in my apartment for almost a year now. I took a year off before going to college. I didn't want to feel dependent on my parents' money so I got a job to work for at least half of my tuition." He had taken quite a lot of pride in the fact he wasn't a snobby rich kid.

"Oh that's cool. I'm on full scholarship to Melbourne University. Only thing I have to pay for is my dorm." Lydia cracked a smile. She was proud she had something that her sister didn't, that she had something that could lead to her having a successful life.

"You're going to Melbourne? Oh my God me too. It's a small world huh." Stiles and Lydia were both ecstatic on hearing this, especially because at least now they would have a friend at the school.

"What are you majoring in?" Lydia asked curiously.

"Well my dad is making me major in business. I do actually love business though so it's not all forced." His dimples poked in his cheeks when he smiled. Lydia literally was restraining herself from poking her fingers into them.

"That's nice. I'm doing med school there. I finished my pre med during high school. I'm also doing dual-majoring so I'm also majoring in writing. Kind of like a fall-back thing in case the medical stuff doesn't work out, you know." Stiles was very close to being awed with this girl. She not only was beautiful, but she was so intelligent and just amazing. He couldn't understand why she seemed so insecure about her sister and about her parents.

"You're amazing." Stiles said without thinking. He didn't even realize he said it until a shocked expression crossed Lydia's face and he raised his hand to his mouth. "Did I say that out loud?" He asked cautiously.

"Uh yeah." She shifted uncomfortably before turning towards the boy and attempting to smile. "Thank you Stiles." She seemed to be having an internal battle with herself but she finally shrugged and leaned over and kissed stiles cheek. "It means a lot."

The simple and sweet gesture sent stiles' brain into a fit. 'Did that mean something more? If it did, what did it mean? What did it mean to me' his brain wouldn't shut up and before he could reply she stood up and excused herself to the bathroom.

Lydia walked at a normal pace but she felt like she was running a marathon. Did stiles really believe that she was amazing? She couldn't even process it. Earlier she was freaking dreaming about him and now he told her she was amazing. She can't let her guard down.

Last time she did... He didn't even like her, he only liked Kat.

Lydia didn't want to think about Jackson. She finally reached the bathroom at the end of the long aisle and she stepped inside.

Raking her hands through her hair she started feeling overwhelmed. She closed the toilet and sat down shaking her head. Why in the hell is she just getting these random feelings for this guy she'd never even met before the flight. His golden eyes were imprinted into her memory and she felt like she could count every single mole on his face.

"Ugh." She whispered to herself, "What is he doing to me?!" Her mind kept skipping back over her 18 years of life and she couldn't help but wonder if maybe they had met before. He seemed vaguely familiar but she couldn't place her finger on it. She sighed and stood, unlocking the door and exiting.

A 10 year old squirmed part her into the empty bathroom and she chuckled as she made her way back to the seat. She wasn't sure if she was ready for a confrontation with Stiles but she couldn't turn back now.

When she reached the seats, his hands were clutched in his lap and his eyes were shut tightly. He looked like he was mentally reprimanding himself. Lydia, confused, sat down and tapped his shoulder lightly. He jumped a little but then when he saw Lydia he relaxed.

"Hey, you okay?" Lydia asked, slightly concerned.

"Yeah I'm fine." He smiled at her and looked her in the eyes and it seemed they were just looking at each other for a minute. Lydia broke it and looked down, getting a sigh from Stiles, who just leaned forward and grabbed a book from his bag.

Lydia couldn't stop staring at his arms. They were muscular but also thin and his hands were veiny which made Lydia almost sigh out loud. She shook her head and looked down towards her own bag. Pulling out her iPod she put on her playlist. Immediately Halsey was playing through the headphones and Lydia leaned her head back listening to the hypnotic words. Her voice was like silk and it was just so beautiful.

She hummed it to herself and after that song came on PVRIS and she started humming to that too and her music just kept on going until for the third time that flight, Lydia fell asleep.

And for the third time that flight, she leaned into Stiles' shoulder and started dreaming.
