Chapter Twelve: The game of push and pull

Zeus knocked three times before opening the door to his Father's study room. Namataan niya itong naka upo sa harap ng malaking study table, reading something.

"How is he?" tanong agad nito, already knowing what he came for.

"He's doing good," isinara muna ni Zeus ang pinto bago sumagot. "His power is growing Pa, I don't think it's just a fetish anymore."

"What do you mean?" ibinaba na nito ang papel na hawak, giving him all ears.

"Blake can grow a flame." diretsong sagot ni Zeus. "He can't just control it, Papa."

"Are you saying your brother can produce fire?"

"I don't know, maybe," kibit balikat ni Zeus dito. "I lit a match and he detached the flame from the stick, that's control. But then the flame floats towards his hand and started growing...you know Vampires can only control the four elements."

But then he can produce and control lightning, Blake's differrent.

"Yes...but if it's an ability then it might be possible," tumikhim naman ito. "It's too early to conclude, keep an eye on him and if you're sure then make him produce a fireball."

Tumango siya sa utos nito. He doesn't know if Blake is aware that Vampires can only control the elements, it was a Witch's thing to produce. They have to familiarize themselves to the element first before controlling it. The vampires that are studying in the Academy knows it. Parte ng curriculum nila ang Elements sa Next level.

Zeus left shortly after, he had nothing to do. Buti pa si Athena ay kontento na sa pagbabasa ng kung ano mang librong binabasa nito ngayon.

He contemplated on what he wants to do. Wala naman siyang maasahan sa kanyang dalawang kapatid so they're off the list. Kung puntahan niya kaya ang kambal?

Napailing siya agad. Makikita rin naman niya ang mukha ng dalawa mamaya pagbalik nila ng Academy.

Flame's off the list too. Hindi pa nakakapunta si Zeus sa bahay ng mga Raveclaw ng walang kasama. And they weren't in good terms right now. Hindi pa siya nagkakaroon ng chance na kausapin muli ito. Ngayon ay mainit parin ang kanyang ulo. He needs to do something to cool him down.

Asher is his last resort. Wala rin naman siguro itong ginagawa dahil linggo.

"Hey Aiane! I'm going out!" Zeus yelled, dahil hindi na niya alam kung nasaan ang kapatid.

"I don't care!" his sister replied from somewhere.

"Call me when Mama's home!"

"Yeah yeah whatever" Athena emerges from a room, hugging the book she was reading bago ito naglaho muli.

   The gates of the Woodsen Manor slowly opened, he really felt bad for Asher a bit dahil nag iisa lang ito sa ganito kalaking bahay. Buti nalang ay may dorms ang Sinclaire Academy kundi ay masisiraan ito ng bait. Asher was given an option bago pa sila mag simula sa Academy, but then he chose to stay here in Hangrove and live his life to the fullest. He wanted to give Asher a high five on the way he's living his life. Sabi ng kanyang Mama ay mananang mana si Asher sa ama nito.

"What a pleasant surprise Zeus Sinclaire..." salubong ng walang hiya sa kanya. Nakahilig ito sa nakabukas na main door, sporting the fresh look.

Zeus smirked before pocketing his car keys, "Whatever loser, I just came here dahil ikaw ang last option ko."

"At least naging part parin ako ng option mo, masaya na ko 'don" tawa nito bago umalis sa pagkakahilig sa pinto. "Mahal kita pare, tandaan mo yan."

"Ano naman ang sasabihin sa'kin ng mga babaeng nagmamahal sa'yo?" Zeus laughed, slapping Asher at the back of his head.

"Hey! You're playful today!" puna nito bago tumawa muli and then pokes Zeus' forehead.
