My imagination stretches further. I envisage a serene, spacious, and practical living space. It is airy, easy to navigate, and creates a sense of freedom. A home that is clutter-free, painted in neutral colours to create a sense of calm and peace. The furnishing is of sustainable material, easily maintained, and creates a cozy organic feel.
I drift further into my imagination, transporting myself to a tranquil oasis. I envisage a low-maintenance, manicured garden. It shows off its white alyssum flowers in rows of ground cover like the flow of waves in the ocean. Behind it, the blue star creepers form a massive bed of ground cover like the ocean itself.
The sunflowers tower behind with a warm welcome to the day. Somewhere in the middle of the waves lies a huge flat rock that I could sit on to have a few moments of silence to express my gratitude to the universe.
Getting further, my mind sees my backyard displaying rows of edible flowers of different hues and heights, a variety of berries, avocados, dragon fruits, apples, and lemons. A patch of a variety of herbs, legumes, squashes that hang on a trellis, and every other food I can harvest for my daily needs. The fragrance of the herbs fills the air. The sweetness of the ripe berries tantalizes my taste buds. The variety of colours and textures showcases abundance and fertility.
My golden age calls for a realignment, a review of my diet, and exercises for preventative measures on health issues. It calls for a need to be connected to avoid loneliness and isolation. My exercise routine should include strength training to maintain muscle mass for mobility and balance. Positive thinking, adequate sleep, finding joy and purpose in hobbies and recreation, and the practice of mindfulness are required for a healthier and more fulfilling life.
I dream big and bright, yet with practicality. I believe that it is inspirational, and can be executed with purpose. I feel that nudge, a warning that each step forward creates its own momentum.
