Chapter Two: Karma's A Bitch

Start from the beginning

"He shall always be my kid though." Anyone with passing eyes could see that Derek Hale was Andrea's first child. She may not have birthed him or shared his blood but she raised him, she love him, supported him and protected him. In everyway she were his mother and if you were to question the stoic Hale on his opinion he would give the same answer. Peter Hale and Andrea Argent were Derek's parent's, not those who created him who were far more interested in supernatural status and killing their own kind.

"That I agree with. When I look to him I still see the five year old who tried to hide within my backpack just so he could join us at school." Peter couldn't keep the fatherly smile from forming, it seemed as though a lifetime ago and now the boy was a young man with more life experience than most middle aged.

Andrea's lips upturned "Then he threw a complete tantrum and the only way we could convince him to attend his own school was by swearing we shall collect him, got ice cream and took him to the park."

"He has quite the flare for the dramatics." Peter stated, drawing a hum from the Argent.

"Yeah, I wonder where he learnt that from." Andrea teased, giggle escaping at the offended expression that fell upon Peter's face.

"Hey!"

The phone was wedged between her ear and shoulder as Andrea placed items into her locker, having informed Kelsey over recent events "So Laura's dead?" Kelsey questioned.

Andrea hummed, retrieving the needed book before slamming her locker "Yeah."

"And, no offence to you or your family-" she paused in consideration, tilting her head as she quickly corrected "actually I wish to retract that, Gerard and Kate should take an extreme amount of offence, but how are you so certain it wasn't hunters?"

"Because of the feral alpha roaming the streets. He turned a teenager too, Scott McCall." The mere name caused Andrea to roll her eyes, it wasn't that she disliked the boy she simply believed him to be blinded by whatever he felt for her sister and that could very quickly take a dark turn "And the puppy eyed, uneven jawline, idiot of a beta-" Kelsey snorted at the rambles, unable to prevent the amused curve of her lips "has some strange obsession with my baby sister."

"Should I return home so we can kill him?" Kelsey questioned.

"See, this is why you're my favourite cousin. Just don't reiterate such things to Marco, Hudson or Bash. I shall never hear the end of it." Andrea released an exasperated sigh, rolling her eyes as she thought to the male cousins and their ego's "Bu no, you don't need to return. I believe I have everything under control, but if i'm in need of backup your number is on my speed dial."

"I shall be waiting for your call." Kelsey's words drew a chuckle from her cousin, the younger of the two quick to add "We will be coming home soon anyways."

Andrea's mouth opened to respond before her eyes fell to Scott and Stiles who were peeking around the corner of the wall, a confused frown pulled at her lips "Hey, Kels, i'm going to have to call you back."

"Okay and we will be discussing Peter taking you on a date!" The teasing tone was unmissable, Andrea released an annoyed breath, rolling her eyes as she toyed with the bag strap.

"I already told you, it wasn't a date."

Kelsey hummed, not believing Andrea but she decided it was best to drop the subject, for now "Whatever you say my dear cousin."

"I'm hanging up now." Andrea informed, already removing the phone from her ear though still being able to hear Kelsey's bubble of laughter.

"Toodles."
