Heyy! I hope you're enjoying the story so far! Well, the picture above is a picture of Junior (or J). He's soooooo perfect, it's not even funny. Anyway, enjoy!
When the bell rung, Kaz offered to walk me to class. I agreed, and we got up. We talked all lunch, eating our popcorns. We learned a lot about each other.
I learned his birthday, which was December 1st, he was turning 17 soon. His favorite color was yellow. So is mine. He has an older and a younger brother, and his mother. Unfortunately, his dad passed away from an accident 2 years ago.
I told him about myself, too. I told him my birthday was June 21st, my favorite color, and that I have an older brother, Josiah, and both parents at home. He already knew that though. My brother and he were friends, that's actually how we met in the first place. When we met, I still liked Junior, so I never really paid Kaz any attention. Not to mention, Kaz had a complete makeover this passing summer.
He was always attractive, but he used to be chubby, and way shorter. He had braces, and his haircut was horrific. Since we first met, he had grown at least 7 inches, he got his haircut in a juice fade, and he had his braces taken off. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with how he used to look, I just never looked at him how I'm looking at him now.
We were walking to my class when I saw Kyla. My mouth fell open in shock. She was with Kenneth, and they were definitely flirting. "Whoa, look over there." I pointed discreetly for Kaz. "What the hell? Did you know about this?" He asked dumbfounded. "Nope, but I will in a few minutes." I was smiling. It's about time Kyla found someone, even if it was Kenneth.
I saw Yaara, and Yesenia as we continued down the hall. When we made it to the door, I gave Kaz a hug, and thanked him for walking me to class. I was about to turn around when Kaz said my name.
"Jailyn, I wanted to ask you something before class..." he smiled nervously.
"Sure, what is it?" I asked waiting. His expression changed, like he'd given up, or changed his mind. "Uhh, do you know where the closest bathroom is?" I was right. That was not what he was going to ask me. He knew where the bathrooms were. I squinted my eyes at him. "They're, uhh, that way." I pointed to the right. "Thanks, well I'll see you later." He said going to the left. That was dumb.
I shook my head, and walked into class. Mrs. Carter is the most annoying teacher, you'd ever meet. I had her last year for Geography and I have her again. Whoopie! At least Kyla, Yaara, and Pedro are all in this class. Kenneth is too but he's irrelevant. Well, was. Just then, Kyla walked in with Kenneth closely behind her.
"You've been caught." I whispered to her while Mrs. Carter talked about the syllabus. "What are you talking about?" She said with a smile. "You know exactly what I'm talking about. Kenneth. When the hell did you guys start talking?" I asked quietly.
She blushed. "We've been talking for like two weeks, but I didn't want to say anything until I knew for a fact that I liked him." Bullshit. "Bullshit. You knew you liked him. You thought I wouldn't approve because I don't like him." I said, in sort of a question way. "Jai, you're annoying." I knew it. I was right. "Listen, I don't care who you like or talk to. Even if the person is arrogant and rude as hell. It's your life, but promise me that you'll always tell me about it. We're best friends, remember? We have to communicate."
"Okay, I'm sorry. You're right. I should have told you. You wouldn't judge me." Wait. "That's a lie, I will. But, I won't hold it against you or shame you...so, are we cool?"
"We're cool." I smiled at her.
"JAILYN, please stop speaking!" I rolled my eyes. Already this lady is pissing me off.
