The Return (Once Upon a Time sequel)

Chapter 16

We hadn't noticed him standing in my doorway which made us jump when his voice boomed through my cabin.

Alek sighed and looked at me sadly. He still had a few days left until he would be free of his harsh punishment...which he got because of me. 
Guilt washed over me as I watched Alek walk out of my cabin and passed Peter who looked back at me with seriousness.

"Why does he have to be punished? He did nothing wrong!" I defended Alek.

"He had a big mouth, that's why. He's still a child who needs to know that breaking the rules and raising his voice at me isn't going to do him any good. Now chop chop, I'm waiting for you in my treehouse." Peter replied before vanishing into thin air.

I sighed and stood up, closing the door and turning around to face my bed. I closed my eyes and made a wish. When I opened my eyes again, a smile found it's way to my lips as I saw a pair of light blue faded denim jeans with an old band shirt with ripped sleeves laying on my bed. Next to it stood a pair of black converse.
I changed into my outfit, grinning. The only good thing about being here was the whishing.

I exited my cabin and breathed in the air of Neverland. Luckily, the weather had gotten warmer and sunnier which was relieving. I then decided to go to the treehouse where Peter was expecting me.

"You came." He said, not seeming very excited.

"Yes, but I'm regretting it already." I muttered.

"What was that?" Asked Peter, resulting in me muttering a simple 'nothing'.

Peter looked at me suspiciously but shrugged it off. 

"I have a job for you." He announced. 

"I'm listening." I replied, crossing my arms over my chest and shifting my weight from my right leg to my left. 

"You're coming with me and some other Lost Boys hunting today." Peter informed me. 

"A hunt? Why?" I asked, confused.

"Because it's time to become one of us." He simply said.

"Woah, wait. Become one of you? Who said that I wanted that?!" I argued.

I did not want to "become" anything. I had been living on Neverland for over a month now, living with a bunch of teenage boys who wouldn't age another day which meant they would be in puberty for the rest of eternity. Becoming one of them wasn't on my wishlist. No, thank you. As if putting up with their shit wasn't already enough for a girl like me.

"No one did, but if you want to be under our protection from basically everything on this island, you have to prove your loyalty to us." Peter answered. 

I still didn't want to become one of the Lost Boys, I was sick and tired of their way of living but I was slowly adapting to it at the same time. But Peter's words drew my attention. Proving my loyalty to them would result in earning their trust which would help me escape. 

"Alright." I announced after taking a deep breath.

"I'll do it." 

Peter grinned, satisfied. 

"Go get Alek. We will leave once the boys have showed you what to pack." He informed me and I nodded before turning my back on him.

I was about to leave when Peter's voice spoke up again.

"By the way, we're going hunting near the beach, which means that we'll be close to the pirates. I suggest you listen to my every command and do as I say to prevent yourself from getting into any kind of trouble." He added. 

I nodded before climbing down the stairs.

Sorry if this chapter isn't long enough but it's two in the morning here and I'm kind of tired at the moment, but I did not want to let you lovelies wait another day sooo, I decided to update :)
