The sunlight was warm, filtering through tall, swaying palms. Waves lapped gently in the background, but something about this whole situation felt… surreal.
“Are we dreaming?” Haruhi muttered, shielding her eyes.
You blinked slowly, nestled on a plush lounger beneath a sun umbrella, your bunny-eared hoodie flopping cutely in the breeze. You held a coconut with both hands, sipping from a straw shaped like a carrot. “Mmm… this doesn’t taste like a dream,” you murmured softly.
“Welcome, my precious children, to paradise~!” Tamaki’s voice rang out, hands dramatically raised to the sky as if he’d summoned the sun itself.
Cue chaotic flashback: the twins had practically kidnapped you and Haruhi between classes. You were mid-nut-sorting, of course—your tiny jars of macadamias and almonds tragically abandoned.
“I-I didn’t even bring my emergency walnut pouch…” you had whimpered, cradled in Kaoru’s arms like a delicate plush toy.
“Don’t worry, Y/N,” Kaoru had whispered close to your ear. “We’ll take care of you.”
“And your nuts,” Hikaru added with a smirk.
Back in the present, you clung shyly to the hem of your hoodie, legs curled beneath you. Kyoya, ever composed, adjusted his glasses.
“This is a prototype resort developed by the Ootori Group. A soft launch,” he said coolly.
Honey popped up beside you, his floaties squeaking.
“Y/N-chan! Want to swim with me?” he beamed. “I brought extra floaties! Look, this one has bunnies!”
Your eyes sparkled a little. “O-Oh, that’s so cute…”
“Not as cute as you would look in them,” Kaoru chimed in, resting his chin on your shoulder.
“Yeah,” Hikaru added, brushing a hand through your hair. “You’d be the sweetest little bun in the water.”
Your cheeks burned instantly.
“H-Hikaru… Kaoru…” you squeaked, shrinking further into your hoodie.
“BACK OFF, YOU WOLVES!” Tamaki thundered, suddenly between you and the twins, arms stretched like a wall of virtue. “My son’s purity must remain intact!”
“We just wanna swim,” the twins shrugged, but their smirks said otherwise.
Tamaki looked ready to faint. “No swimsuits. No skin. No scandal!”
“But Renge’s in a bikini,” Haruhi pointed out, sipping calmly from her lemonade.
“It’s cosplay! That’s different!” Tamaki cried dramatically, as Renge whizzed by on her platform with dramatic anime music and a parasol.
“Oh my god,” Haruhi muttered. “We’re in a theme park full of idiots.”
The day spiraled into chaos when the twins threatened to take Haruhi on a honeymoon, Tamaki face-slammed a tiki pole, and Honey was swept away in a tidal wave.
“WE MUST RESCUE HIM!” Tamaki declared, now dressed like a discount Indiana Jones.
Kyoya handed out maps calmly. “You’re all part of my data collection now.”
You clung tightly to Haruhi’s arm as the group began their jungle trek. “T-There are bugs here… right? Like… the big, crunchy kind?”
Hikaru took your other arm. “Don’t worry. I’ll protect you.”
Kaoru leaned in. “So will I.”
You were flustered beyond belief, cheeks pink as cherry blossoms.
The rain poured suddenly, forcing everyone into a hut. You stayed curled up on a straw mat, clutching your peanut pouch, trying not to cry about soggy almonds. Mori quietly handed you a towel and placed a protective hand on your head.
“Thank you…” you whispered.
Tamaki gasped. “Noooo! Even Mori wants to steal my son!”
“Daddy issues again?” the twins asked in unison.
Soon after, Haruhi and Mori wandered off—and when you tried to follow them, a squad of armed guards mistook you for a fleeing hostage. You squeaked in terror, clutching your bunny ears.
But then… BAM!
Honey dropped from the sky like a sugar-fueled ninja and took out the guards without breaking a sweat.
“He’s so cool,” you whispered, eyes wide as Honey winked at you, totally unfazed.
As you all walked home, the twins held each of your hands, Tamaki kept glancing at you worriedly, and Kyoya noted the entire day’s events in a spreadsheet titled “Y/N’s Adorability Index.”
“We should go to the beach next time,” Kaoru said with a grin.
“I dunno,” you whispered, blushing. “I might get… sunburnt.”
“Then we’ll just have to cover you in sunscreen ourselves~” Hikaru teased.
Tamaki screamed into the sunset.
Author’s Note:
Y/N’s peanut pouch was saved. Tamaki’s blood pressure was not.
