Can I play with madness?

"Wow," I laughed, impressed by the car and amused by his defensiveness, "It's in great condition."

"It'd better be, I paid a lot for it when I got it."

"Didn't you live in an orphanage most of your life? How'd you get the money?" I questioned.

"I was in a gang remember," He answered curtly, "I got money."

"Ah," I nodded, needing no further elaboration, "Want me to pull into the garage now?"

"Be my guest," Levi ran his fingers through his dark hair, pushing it out of his eyes, "Scratch my car and you won't have to worry about being killed by a Titan."

I nodded and trotted over to my car so I could pull in tho the garage. Other than his Ferrari and a few boxes the garage was mostly empty. I slid my car into the space beside Levi's, being extra cautious to avoid scratching the thing. Once it was in place I turned it off and hopped out. "Ready when you are captain."

"Right," Levi sighed, "Lets get going, we have a forty minute drive ahead of us."

"Forty minutes?" I whined, "I thought this was a local thing."

"It is, but the base is in the city. Gang members only ever go to the suburbs when they need to." Levi hoped into the driver's side, "Get in, we've wasted enough time."

"Fine," I laughed, "Captain."

----------

"Can I turn on some music?" I asked. We'd sat in silence for the first 5 minutes of the drive and I was already getting antsy.

"Fine," Levi answered, his eyes never straying from the road, "But if I don't like whatever you play I can overrule your choice."

"Fair enough," I laughed, switching on the radio. Classical music poured from the speakers and I raised an eyebrow at Levi.

"What's with that look?" He asked, watching me from the corner of his eye.

"Nothing," I answered, "Just wouldn't have pegged you as a classical music kinda guy."

"It's soothing," he muttered, "Plus it has more depth than most music, sometimes you can almost hear the layers of instruments being welded together."

Levi almost seemed to loose himself in the music, relaxing more than I'd ever seen. I didn't really care much for classical music but seeing how much it affected Levi I couldn't bring myself to change it. I watched him as he tapped out the melody against the steering wheel, closing his eyes every now and then as if allowing the music to control him. I could watch him all day. He didn't even notice me staring until the music broke off for commercials.

"Oi brat, what are you looking at?"

"You," I answered quietly, "I've never seen you get into anything like that before."

"I wasn't 'into' anything," he muttered defensively, "Don't stare at me like some - stalker, just change the station. I don't want to listen to commercials."

"Alrighty, what ever you say captain." I twisted the dials on the dashboard, browsing through the various selections of music. The different voices and sounds of artists and instruments poured from the speakers like bubbles of expression, each being forced to cram all they had into the seconds of time I gave them.

"Here we go!" I announced, "Iron Maiden! Fuck yeah!"

Levi sighed, "I'll tolerate this so long as you don't-"

"Give me the sense to wonder!"

"-sing..." He finished, letting out an exasperated sigh but not stopping me.
