Seulgi looked up at her, eyes full of uncertainty and a hint of regret.
But before she could say anything, Jaeyi placed her hands gently on Seulgi's cheeks.
The touch was soft, tender, and grounding, like a silent promise that everything was going to be okay.
Jaeyi leaned in slowly, her gaze softening as she closed the distance between them.
Seulgi's breath caught in her throat, and before she could even process what was happening, Jaeyi kissed her.
The kiss was slow but there was a quiet intensity behind it that Seulgi couldn't ignore.
It was as though Jaeyi was trying to reassure her, to tell her that no matter the pain of the past, she was here now, and she wasn't going anywhere.
When the kiss broke, Jaeyi rested her forehead against Seulgi's, her eyes searching Seulgi's face for any sign of doubt or hesitation.
But all she saw was the same quiet vulnerability that had brought them here in the first place.
"I don't know if I can ever fully understand what you've been through," Jaeyi said softly, her voice thick with emotion. "But I do know that I'll always be here, Seulgi. I'll never let you go."
Seulgi's eyes softened, and for a moment, the weight of her past seemed to lift.
"I'm not going anywhere, either," Seulgi whispered back, her heart full as she looked up at Jaeyi.
Jaeyi smiled, her hands still gently cupping Seulgi's face.
"Good," she said softly, before leaning in once more, brushing her lips against Seulgi's in a kiss that was quiet and sweet, but full of promises.
"Oh ho! Look at them!" Yeri teased, dramatically clapping her hands together.
Kyung joined in, whistling playfully. "Finally! Took you both long enough."
Seulgi immediately pulled back slightly, her face turning red as she looked away in embarrassment.
Jaeyi, on the other hand, only smirked, tightening her arm around Seulgi's waist possessively.
"Jealous?" Jaeyi shot back at them, raising an eyebrow.
Yeri gasped, putting a hand on her chest in mock offense. "As if! Kyung and I could be making out right now, but we're too busy witnessing your little romantic drama unfold."
Kyung chuckled, nudging Yeri. "We should charge them for the entertainment."
Jaeyi rolled her eyes while Seulgi covered her face with her hands, still overwhelmed from everything that had just happened.
"Aww, look at her!" Yeri cooed. "She's so shy! Our Seulgi has grown up."
Jaeyi chuckled and leaned closer to whisper in Seulgi's ear, "Ignore them. They're just mad they're not as cute as us."
Seulgi groaned but couldn't help the small smile that tugged at her lips.
Yeri stretched her arms dramatically. "Alright, lovebirds, as much as we'd love to watch you guys be all gross and romantic, we have a dinner reservation. Let's go before they give our table away."
Jaeyi finally released Seulgi, though she made sure to keep holding her hand, and turned toward their friends. "Fine, fine. Let's go before Yeri starts crying about being hungry."
"Hey!" Yeri protested, but Kyung just laughed, patting her back.
As they walked back toward the hotel, Jaeyi suddenly stopped, tugging on Seulgi's hand.
"Take some pictures of me," she said casually, reaching into her pocket to grab her sunglasses.
Seulgi blinked in surprise but nodded, taking out her phone.
Meanwhile, Kyung and Yeri were too caught up in their conversation about exams to notice.
Jaeyi positioned herself on a stone pathway, the lush greenery and red tinted plants creating a perfect natural backdrop.
The late afternoon sunlight filtered through the trees, casting a warm golden glow around her.
In the first shot, she was adjusting her black sunglasses, her gaze slightly averted to the side, giving off an effortlessly cool vibe.
The second image was more striking, she had removed the sunglasses and placed them atop her head, staring directly at the camera with a neutral yet captivating expression.
Her oversized white T-shirt, printed with bold black graphics, hung loosely over her frame, paired with black Nike shorts.
With her hair pulled back, the sunlight accentuated her sharp features, making the moment feel almost cinematic.
Seulgi smiled as she clicked the final picture, lowering the phone. "You look really good in these."
Jaeyi took the phone from her hands, scrolling through the shots.
Her lips parted slightly in awe. "Damn, Seulgi. You should be a photographer or something."
Seulgi chuckled, rubbing the back of her neck. "You just look good in pictures."
Jaeyi smirked. "Or maybe I just look good for you."
Seulgi's face heated up instantly, and Jaeyi, satisfied with her reaction, quickly uploaded the photos to Twitter.

After hitting post, she turned back to Seulgi, grinning.
Without warning, she leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to Seulgi's cheek.
"Thanks, babe," Jaeyi murmured against her skin.
Seulgi stiffened for a second before mumbling, "You're welcome..." her voice barely above a whisper.
Jaeyi chuckled, grabbing Seulgi's hand again as they continued walking.
By the time they reached Kyung and Yeri, who had finally stopped talking about exams, Yeri wiggled her eyebrows at them.
"Did we miss another cute moment?" she teased.
Seulgi groaned, covering her face, while Jaeyi simply smirked. "You miss a lot when you don't pay attention."
