Jaeyi walked through her front door, the warmth of the morning sun still fresh on her skin after a quiet breakfast with Seulgi.
She made her way to the couch, dropping down with a satisfied sigh.
Despite everything that had happened, there was a lightness to her step now.
She couldn't help but smile, replaying their stolen moments together.
After a few minutes of silence, she reached for her phone and sent a quick text to Kyung and Yeri.
It was time to fill them in.
Minutes later, her doorbell rang, and Jaeyi shot up from the couch.
She quickly fixed her hair, pulling on a jacket before opening the door to find Kyung and Yeri standing there, both looking a little concerned.
"We've been waiting for your text forever. What's going on, Jaeyi?" Kyung asked, raising an eyebrow.
Yeri, who had been a little more playful earlier, now wore a more serious expression. "You've been off the grid for hours. What's up with you?"
Jaeyi grinned widely, stepping aside to let them in. "Come in, come in. I've got something to share."
They exchanged looks as they stepped inside, both curious and a bit wary.
Jaeyi closed the door behind them, still grinning, and led them to the couch where they sat down.
"So," Jaeyi began, crossing her arms and leaning back against the couch. "Seulgi and I, well, we did more than just talk last night."
Kyung's and Yeri's jaws dropped simultaneously, their eyes widening in disbelief.
"What?" Yeri blinked, a little too shocked for her usual snarky tone. "You and Seulgi? Are you serious?"
Jaeyi smirked, watching their reactions with a mix of amusement and pride. "Oh, yeah. It wasn't just a conversation, trust me. We kissed."
Kyung and Yeri exchanged a confused look, still trying to process what Jaeyi was saying.
"Wait, hold on." Kyung's voice was incredulous. "So you and Seulgi... kissed?"
Jaeyi laughed, shaking her head. "Yeah. But don't get too excited, it wasn't anything more than that. It was just a make out session. Nothing too intense."
Yeri's face went from shock to curiosity in an instant. "A make out session? With Seulgi? But... isn't that a bit sudden?"
Jaeyi raised a brow, looking mischievous. "Maybe. But you don't know her like I do."
Kyung leaned back, still unsure. "What about her stepmom? Doesn't she live there?"
Jaeyi's smirk widened. "That's the best part."
She leaned in a little closer, lowering her voice to a conspiratorial tone. "Seulgi's stepmom almost caught us."
Yeri's mouth fell open. "No way! How did you manage that?"
Jaeyi chuckled, stretching out on the couch. "Let's just say Seulgi had to act fast, and we barely got away with it. She pulled me into her room just in time and locked the door. It was a close call."
The room went silent for a moment as Kyung and Yeri processed the details.
Jaeyi could see the wheels turning in their heads as they tried to make sense of everything.
"You two are a mess," Kyung finally said, shaking her head in disbelief but with a small grin tugging at her lips. "You're both going to get yourselves in trouble if you keep this up."
