The warm summer breeze tousled Seulgi's hair as she gazed out of the car window.
The coastline stretched before them, waves crashing gently against the shore, and the sun cast a golden glow over everything.
It was the kind of serene beauty Seulgi had dreamed of, and it was a stark contrast to the chaos of the past few months.
Jaeyi was driving, her hands confidently gripping the steering wheel as she navigated the winding roads along the island.
Her eyes occasionally flicked to Seulgi in the rearview mirror, a small, knowing smile on her face.
Yeri and Kyung were seated in the back, bickering playfully about whose idea it had been to stop at the food stand earlier.
"I can't believe you two got us lost for 20 minutes looking for that stand!" Kyung was laughing, her voice still filled with amusement. "You and your food obsession, Yeri."
Yeri, ever the mischievous one, stuck out her tongue in retaliation. "You can't blame me for needing a snack. Besides, I found it in the end. We got amazing fried squid, didn't we?"
"Barely," Kyung shot back, crossing her arms. "More like half an hour of my life I'll never get back."
Jaeyi tuned them out, a smile playing at the corners of her lips.
She had insisted on driving to make the trip feel more like an adventure.
The others had tried to take over, but Jaeyi had been persistent, finally winning out.
The hotel, which she had booked months ago, was still a surprise to everyone.
As they rounded the final bend, the hotel came into view, standing gracefully on the edge of the beach.
It was a charming little boutique hotel with whitewashed walls, wooden balconies, and lush greenery surrounding it.
The sun was starting to dip lower in the sky, casting a warm glow over everything.
