Crystal

I've been waiting on this moment for what seems like forever.

I gripped my steering wheel as I drove onto the 323 Fine Arts Academy's campus, my new school.  I really hope Los Angeles treats me well. I pulled in the student parking lot and it was packed. I found a space beside a red Lamborghini. What student is whipping this? They must be rich.

"Wow," I sighed as I entered the student union building. I finally made it to college!

I just wish my bestie was my roommate. At least she'll be in the same complex as me but she's moving in so late. I was able to get a student apartment through housing with my scholarship. I only have one roommate, which is amazing.

There were booths set up everywhere showcasing information for freshmen. I spotted the dance booth and walked toward it. I was almost there when a crowd started to form at the music booth next to it. Some girl shoved me to get to the booth first.

"Ugh excuse you," I scoffed and mugged her.

She paid me no mind, more focused on getting through the crowd. I rolled my eyes and kept going to see what information I needed.

"Hi, I'm Crystal Black," I smiled at the man who I assume was the dance instructor. I held my hand out, he smiled and shook it.

"Hello Crystal! My name is Ciro Ross, you can call me Mr. Ross. I am the dance instructor for our fine arts program here. I am so glad you have been accepted, I've heard great things about you! Do you have any questions for me?"

There was so much commotion coming from the crowd that I glanced over. I shook my head, growing annoyed of the chaos. I focused my attention back on Mr. Ross. "Is there specific attire or shoes you would like for us to wear?"

He gave me a kind look. "Very considerate question. Here is a pamphlet of clothing and shoes that are accepted. There is also a section where you can purchase new items at the store on campus."

"Thank you so much, it was nice to meet you!" I waved, signaling that I was leaving.

"Same here, I look forward to seeing you in class!"

I decided to just head to my apartment and start getting cozy. As I walked away, I noticed that the crowd died down. Who knew people would be so excited about a little music booth?

When I finally got back to my car, there was some guy standing beside the Lamborghini with two girls on each side of him. Couldn't be me, I'm not that thirsty. I didn't even look their way and got into my car.

My apartment complex looked nice on the outside. I loved the fact that it was still on campus so I could walk to class, although it would be a far walk. It was three stories and luckily, I was on the first floor so moving in and out would be easier. I unlocked the door and walked inside, locking it right behind me. I began to look around, wondering who I'd be sharing this place with.

As I toured the kitchen, I heard keys rattling and the door opening. I peeked my head out to see a girl with luggage. She was super tall from my point of view. Her face was pretty but noticeably worked on. She wore a skin tight pink dress that complimented the light shade of her skin.

"Hi, you must be my roommate. I'm Crystal," I said and walked toward her. I smiled, showing my dimples. I held my hand out, only to be pulled into a hug.

"Nice to meet you! I'm Jasmine!" She smiled. I pulled away and she continued holding onto my hand.

"Nice meeting you too." I gently pulled my hand away after I noticed she wasn't letting go. I'm glad she's not acting stuck up or hateful towards me. She seems cool and a little too excited. Well, this is her introduction so we'll see how it goes as time passes.
