It's After Dark.

A little snippet.

Kong took Mayur's hand and put it over his head. "You will let this happen... Swear on it..."

Mayur gaped with teary eyes. "No... No... I can't watch you ruin your life..."

"I gave my consent..."

"You are forced...." Mayur tried pulling his hand away. "I will call him... He should know... He will show them their place..."

"No!" Kong jumped to his feet. "No... You will never tell him anything... Promise me..."

"Mishtu..." Mayur sobbed. "Why are you doing this?"

Kong didn't cry. He just remained blank as he kept looking deep into Mayur's eyes. "Promise me..."

"I promise..." Mayur gave up. Because Kong was not bending this time. And he hated everything at that moment. "He deserves to know..."

"All he deserves... Is to hate me... With his all... I kept him in the dark and like everything that was unfair to him... Dumping all my messes on him so suddenly will be just as unfair." Kong looked at himself in the mirror.

"I am breaking up with you... I didn't tell you but I am already engaged... This college life was just my escape to enjoy one last time before I sign up my papers. "

It was silent but Kong remembered the deep laughter... That melted him like always. "You are joking right? Haha funny... Now come back soon Malai... I miss you..."

Kong's heart skipped on beats like always with the tender tone and sweet endearment. And he gulped a lump. "I sent you something... Do check..."

It was silent for a moment then he heard ragged breaths. "What is this Kong?" 

Kong gulped a lump with teary eyes. "My wedding invitation... "

"What the fuck are you talking about? What the fuck do you think you are doing?"

" I am marrying..". Kong felt selfish and terrible. Especially acting like someone that he is not. He wanted to run in those strong arms. And hide like always. But he deserves to be hated.

"What happened? Tell me what happened? I promise I will fix it..."

" Fix what? Your ego? that can't accept that you got tricked by a simple omega... All I had to do was drop a tear here... Blush a little there... And there you are... Right at my feet..."

Kong wanted to scream... That only he made Kong feel so much... All that shyness, all those blushes... They were raw and just for the alpha. Who was quiet for sometimes now.

Kong parted his lips and cried silently covering his mouth, as he held the phone against his ear... He felt like being stabbed. Hearing the confident, strong voice so weak... The face that always smiled... He can imagine how it looked now that it was crying in pain...

He deserves to be hated.
