It's After Dark.

A little snippet.

Kong felt dead inside... Recalling that warm, mischievous, dimpled smile... But... Seemed like he needs to do his last duty as a thank you to his family... For giving him this life. So the next time when he met Luna's gaze, she actually gaped being tongue tied.

"You want me to be tied in a cage and die everyday being with someone I could never love right?" Kong smiled, tilting his head. "You want me to suffer and you waited all these years for the perfect time. Didn't you?"

Luna for the first time had no response. As she kept gaping... While Kong came to his feet, caressing over his belly to soothe the twisting pain that made him feel like throwing up.

"I have always craved your love... Your care... And you always prayed for my miseries... I was happy that this stunt you pulled is for me to come back because you miss me... But even now... All you want is for me to suffer..."

Luna wanted to retort, wanted to show Kong his place but there was something about Kong's eyes that stopped her instantly.

"You win then..." Kong smiled, feeling his spasming heart numbing his senses as he  felt like a coward again... Because he is breaking three hearts at once... Especially the trust of someone who kisses the path Kong walks on... Even after being so much out of Kong's league... He really doesn't deserve that alpha...

"I have never asked for anything... I have always felt grateful that you gave me a life... And since... You want me to sacrifice my love as a payment to all that you did for me..." Kong was not the same as before... His freedom gave him enough strength to show him what manipulation and suffocation is. He should repay with his life... For thinking he is free and ruining someone's life... For his refuge.

"I will marry who you want me to..." Kong gave his words. "My happiness and life for yours... It compensates for everything right?"

Luna could only nod. And Kong smiled again. "then this marriage will be my last payment... And my end of having any ties with you all... I will marry who you want me to... But... From then on we are not a family anymore... I am me... And you are you..."

Luna's heart skipped on beats... For once feeling something motherly hearing those cold words. But her pride was so high that it mattered to her more than being a mother. Kong's prideful form, making her motherly instinct die... She hated it.

"Who would want a whore like you as a child anyways." Luna uttered with venom. "You gave us nothing but pain and shame... Look at you walking like a stripper... What do you think of yourself? I would be glad to savor ties with you... At least you won't be our problem anymore... You..."

"It's done then..." Kong turned away, breaking apart with those words. But there was no way he could take the blame for killing his mother. And he knows... For making sure she wins... Luna will pull a stunt like this...

"KONG IS TWELVE YEARS YOUNGER THAN THAT MAN..." Lisa screamed.

"He needs someone like that to stop daydreaming..." Luna scoffed. Kong was already half way up the stairs with his luggage, ignoring the constant vibration in his pocket. A dread freezing his heart. He did give his words... But the thought of another man touching him... He gasped and clawed his belly. Not knowing how to harden his heart.

But he did... He didn't know where he found this strength but the thought of savouring any ties from this place... Somehow gave him a little strength. He felt selfish... But tired... Knowing even if he runs now... He will be dragged down...

"Are you crazy?" Mayur hissed. As Kong sat ready in a yellow saree three days later. The wedding is already fixed. They are just here for formalities. "She is..."
