"Madam no!" One of the maids stood in front of her with raised defensive arms. "Please stop it..."
Luna glared at her and pushed her away with a hiss. "Stay in your limits..."
And the next moment they watched helplessly as Kong convulsed like a fish out of water with painful sobs. He raised his hands and shook his head gasping, but the water already covered him and he felt like someone put him on fire.
Luna threw the bucket away, once she felt satisfied. "Let him be here... He likes enjoying others misery... He should feel the same..."
She left, taking the reluctant maids along. Leaving Kong out in the cold and darkness. Knowing well, it scares Kong.
Kong gasped for breaths, thankful that another day will soon pass... That it's finally over... He whimpered, looking blankly at their dark backyard laying on the wet, hard ground. Trembling in pain and shivers as the autumn winds blew past him. He somehow pulled his knees to his chest and hugged himself for comfort.
And as he laid there with tears flowing from his blank eyes, humming to soothe his painfully throbbing heart that was numbing all his muscles... He imagined with open eyes...
A tall form walking towards him and coming closer... Even in the darkness that handsome face had a glow, making it visible... Wearing a white shirt with washed jeans. He realised he always liked this dressing of Arthit. He looked so handsome. As he watched Arthit kneel in front of him... With a warm smile... And he looked at those hazel eyes somehow getting the strength to turn his head.
"It's ok... Please don't cry anymore..." Arthit caressed over his head.
This was not the first time... But before Kong could only humm and faint only to wake up on his bed next. That was his defence mechanism. But then he met Arthit... And this new mechanism started automatically as he can clearly imagine how it would feel if Arthit was around... And somehow it always soothes him better... And after Arthit said those kind words... It was like he unknowingly gave an image to Kong's imagination.
He is a fool... He knows that. A mentally unstable person to have these day dreams. But... It comforted him and he will always forget the track of time. Trying to nudge his face against the warm hand... Knowing it's not there... Yet it was comforting. To look at the face...
"Jodi ami tomar hotam..." Kong whispered, staring at the smiling, dimpled face. The warm eyes. "Jodi tomar moner ekta kona petam..."
If only I was yours...
If only I had just a little corner of your heart...
He is an idiot... He is stupid and losing his mind... Losing his mind so much that he now feels the touches of something that is not even present there. His lashes fluttered close as he fainted there.
Not knowing the universe is kind... When it wants to be... That it keeps a little ray of light at the end of every dreadful calamity... You just need to go through it once to get there...
Because the next thing Kong's abused and painful form knows that he is watching his sister in law packing his bags. As he looked at whatever she was doing with tears... Like she had been flowing for the last three days. Whenever she sees Kong. And Kong was in too much pain to comfort her and say he was okay... He just couldn't move.
He looked sideways as he watched his older brother setting up his brand new hybrid laptop. He didn't look at Kong in the eyes from the last three days and he knows Lisa is not talking to his brother anymore. Why? This was not the first time.
He gulped a painful lump and peeked sideways at the latest model of iphone laying next to him on the bed... That has his new number now. All the while hearing his mother's screams and threats to kill herself from downstairs. Scaring him... But this time no one seemed to have given her any attention.
