ARIA (POV)
The air outside the bar was sharper than she expected, and colder. Aria walked faster, as if the faster she moved, the easier it would be to shake off the afterimage of him-the boy with storm in his eyes and a guitar that spoke louder than words.

Her chest was tight. That didn't make sense. He hadn't even spoken to her.

Maybe it was just hormones. Or the way the guitar vibrated in her ribs. Or how the lighting made him look like he was painted by shadows and moonlight.

Whatever. It didn't matter.

Except... she kept looking over her shoulder.

REVEN (POV)
She was walking too fast.
He stayed far enough behind that she wouldn't notice. At least, not unless she was trained for this. And Aria Vale was anything but trained.

He knew everything about her.

Where she lived. What music she listened to. Her coffee order. Her silence.

The silence was what got him.

He should have stopped watching her months ago. Should have disappeared into the noise of his past life. But the first time he saw her-headphones in, completely alone in a hallway full of people-he knew he was already ruined.

And now, she'd seen him. Not just seen-but felt him. He'd watched her react.

He should stop.

But obsession isn't rational.
And Reven Knox never stopped once he started.
