It's a really rainy day outside today. 11 year old Patches, and her father, are driving to the their new home. She's pretty upset right now, she didn't want to move. "Why did we have to move?" Patches complains, grumbling slightly while looking out the window. "My job, Patchy. I told you this..." Her father said, sighing. It's clear he didn't want to move either, but he didn't have a choice.

Patches groans quietly, "I'm gonna miss Naomi..." She admitted sadly. Dream then looks at her through the mirror, "She'll still be able to visit, y'know. Just... Not as much. But it'll be okay, alright? Maybe you will even meet some new kids to make friends with," He was trying his best to cheer his daughter up, even though he knew it would be no use. Patches stayed quiet, too upset to talk. She was racing raindrops with her finger on the window, as kids do. The last couple of minutes of the ride were fairly quietly, except for the hum of the cars radio that needed to be fixed.

When they finally got there, Patches took a look out the window. The house was big, and you could tell it was old. It was painted a sky blue, but of course the paint is chipping, and had some poison ivy growing on the sides. Patches gets out of the car, dragging her suitcase with her.  She looks up at the house, and then turns to her dad, asking him, "Dad, can I pick my room?"

Dream, who is getting things out of the car that didn't need to go into a moving van, says without looking up, "Yeah, go ahead. I'll be out here if you need me-" he pauses, his phone is ringing. He sighs, answering it, it's someone from work. Patches rolls her eyes, going inside.
