The following morning, the household was alive with activity. Lorenzo and Elias were playing in the garden, their laughter filling the air, while Aurora clung to kleia as she prepared breakfast. Vito had stepped outside to take a call, leaving Kleia alone in the kitchen.
She was just setting the table when the loud crash echo through the villa . Her heart leapt into our throat as she turned the source of the noise. Footsteps pounding down the hallway before she could react a man burst into the room, his face obscured by a mask.
"Kleia!" Vito's voice from somewhere behind the intruder.
The man launched towards her, but Kleia instinctively shielded Aurora, holding your tide as she back against the counter. Just as the intruder reached her, Vito appeared, his gun drawn, his expression deadly.
" let her go" Vito commanded, his voice ice cold.
The man hesitated, Clearly weighing his options. Before he could make a move, Vito fired a warning shot into the air, the sound deafening in the enclosed space. The intruder dropped his weapon and raised his hands and surrender, but Vito wasn't about to let him off easily.
"Luciano!" Vito shouted, and within seconds, Luciano and Antonio appeared, their guns trained on the man.
" get him out of here." Vito ordered, his voice laced with fury.
The man dragged the intruder away leaving Vito and kleia alone in the kitchen. Kleia was trembling, Her arms still wrapped protectively around Aurora. Vito immediately rushed to her side, his hands gently prying hers away so he could look at her.
" are you okay." he asked, his voice softer now.
Kleia nodded, though tears streamed down her face. " I'm fine, Aurora's fine. But Vito... What was that was he?"
Vito's jaw tightened, His hands gripping her shoulders. " someone who made a mistake by coming here." he said grimley. " I will make sure it doesn't happen again I promise you, Kleia, this is the last time anyone threatens our family."
