TERRY'S POV
(Tummy rumbles loudly) - stopping me half way while saying something to him.
“Are you okay man?”
I have to ask, right?
Taylor smiles widely, looking a bit embarrass. And after taking what seems like forever, he finally decides to speak up and says it's food. That he is hungry. I raise my brow at him.
Look, if it's a girl's tummy grumbling like that, I will understand because, they barely eat all in the name of being in shape while for us the guys, that's not going to happen. So that means, he is extremely famish.
As we walk back into the house. I in the front and he coming behind. Walking into the house, Taylor tries to get a hold of my hand.
“Don't make it....” He starts after I shift away to avoid him entirely.
“I don't want your hands on me. We are not gays. You can just say whatever from where you stand.” I pause, turn back facing front and say out loud before Taylor stops me, “Mum, Taylor's still here and, he is hungry. Can you make something for him too?”
Looking back at Taylor to see his lower jaw drops. He looks like a scared puppy.
“Hey....!” Mum's voice made us divert our stares to her.
She pucks her head out from the kitchen.
“Do you like vegetables?” She asks, looking at Taylor.
He turns to me first and then, at her. “Yes ma. I'm not a picky eater.” he answers with a smile.
Everything feels awkward for some reason we think we know why. Taylor just found out about Emily and now, we are talking about food like nothing happened. If not because I did her his tummy, I would have conclude that the whole thing is to change the topic.
Mum getting her reply, enters back into the kitchen.
“Are you going to leave her all alone in the room? Or is there someone else there to keep her company since I already stole your attention.” He says looking serious even when it sounds like a funny statement.
Taylor is weird. Unreadable. I can't even tell his mood.
Shaking my head, “No. I don't think she would want to see anyone right now. But surely, when she's relaxed, I will go talk to her.”
Taylor sits on the chair near where he was standing at. He was lost in thought but didn't utter a word.
“Come over to the dining room, boys.” Mum says as she steps into the living room with a small kitchen hand towel, cleaning her wet hands.
“Okay.” I saw with a slight nod. “Are you no longer starving?” I ask after taking a step an he didn't move.
Getting up lazily from the chair, “I didn't say so.” He rolls his eyes at me while approaching. “Or are my full?” He ask no one in particular.
“You can't be serious right now.” leaving him behind, I head to the dining room.
Honestly, I kind of understand what Taylor's possiblily be feeling. Forget the fact we all are acting normal, we can't be all acting like nothing happen.
It bothers me.
And since Emily is all in the room all by herself, she's probably crying her eyes out and cursing her existence. Ahhh... This is just too rough.
I can't agree if I'm the one at fault or, it's being... FATE!
