Chapter 13: Maybe I Don't Want to be Luna

I could see Zach's eyes darken at my words. Jack was about to answer but Zach immediately pushed him against the wall, squeezing his best friend's throat. "Don't you dare respond to that question." he threatened.

He put his hands up in surrendor, obviously scared. Zach let go of him and backed up. He turned his head towards me and sent me daggers. I rolled my eyes at him and looked back at Evelyn. Her eyes were also wide.

"Do you want to, um, go for a walk or something." I asked evelyn and she nodded. We both got up from our seats and headed out the door.

There were some people outside, exploring the shops and café's. "Where do you want to go?" I asked looking around at our surroundings.

"Let's go to the forest. I can show you how to shift." she grinned walking towards the big forest the surrounds the village.

Did I forget to mention that the village was surrounded by trees? It is gorgeous here!!! The grass is a perfect shade of green and trees are all in many different shapes and sizes. 

We walked into the forrest where it was shady. "What about the clothes? What would happen to them when we shift?" I asked as I ran my fingers along the bark of the tree trunk beside me.

"Oh, it rips." she states with a grin. My face fell. These are really cute. I don't want to loose them. Evelyn must've noticed my facial expression because she showed me the bag she was holding, "I brought you a pair of extra clothes."

I shook my head. "I don't want to ruin this nice outfit. It's one of my favs." I complained. She rolled her eyes at me.

"Then get naked." she said with a blank expression. I rolled my eyes at her and watched as she started to shift. I winced as I heard bones cracking. It sounded really painful.

"Dawn, does it hurt to shift?" I asked.

Immediately after I asked, she responded, "At first, yes. But you get used to it."

I nodded. I looked over at Evelyn. She looked beautiful. Her wolf was a really pretty auburn color. I walked up to her and rubbed her head. Damn, she is really soft. "Wow, Ev, you're really soft." She nodded her head and nuzzled my neck.

I giggled at her. "Later you're going to have to tell me your wolf's name." She nodded her head again. Now it's my turn to shift. I wonder what I look like as a wolf.

"You're gonna have to turn around. I don't want you to see me naked." I instructed, pointing at her. She rolled her eyes at me, but did what she was told.

I sighed with satisfaction. Before I stripped butt naked, I scanned the area around me making sure no one is watching. When the coast was clear, I stripped naked.

Okay, so all I have to do is think about it and I'll shift. I cleared my mind and started telling myself to shift. I felt and heard bones cracking and breaking apart in my body, reforming themselves in different places. I felt hair popping out from underneath my skin. I yelled out in pain. This is probably the second most painful thing ever!!!

We all know the most painful thing is giving birth. Second would be this, then cramps, then stepping on legos, then hitting your side against the corner of a table, and last but not least, getting hand sanitizer in cuts. 

The pain finally went away and I realized I was in my wolf form. I looked down at my paws and they were pure white. My fur looked like a fresh sheet of snow. I looked over at Evelyn and she had a grin. I noticed a mirror between her paws.

She pushed it towards me and I looked in the mirror.  My eyes were a really bright blue. My fur was like a white sheet. It looked really soft. Damn, I am one pretty wolf.
