"But he's hurt," Serenity protested, her voice laced with concern.
"He'll live," Phineas and I said simultaneously, our expressions deadpan.
Rominic let out a pained grunt. "What did I do to deserve this?" he lamented.
"Hey! Did you just swear at me?!" Rylee suddenly shouted, her eyes narrowing. Rominic's face turned ghostly pale, his eyes growing wide with horror. Before Rylee could reach him, Phineas stood up and firmly blocked her path.
Rylee's eyes softened, and Phineas said in a placating tone, "Chill, babe. You're going to make your nieces and nephews hate you."
"I don't," Savia replied, her voice dripping with an air of superiority.
Serenity glared at Rylee with unbridled anger, and that seemed to do the trick. Rylee instantly calmed down and looked away, a hint of guilt on her face. Without another word, she turned on her heels and left. Phineas quickly ran after her.
I returned my gaze to Rominic and grinned down at him. "Serves you right, cockhead," I said, my voice filled with amusement.

I smiled as Rominic whimpered every time I pressed the cloth against his wounds. He jerked once again and howled in pain. I snickered and pressed down on his injuries with more force. "I swear, I'll kill her! I'll kill her one day!" he exclaimed. I rolled my eyes — he had been making this threat for as long as I could remember. "That bloody tyrant! She's a monster! How did I share a womb with a witch?!" I pressed down harder, causing him to cry out. "Ow! Gently!"
"What did you say?" I asked in a threatening tone.
"Nothing," he quickly replied, his voice meek.
"Better," I said, throwing the cloth into the bucket and stepping away from him. "It's so nice to have your sister back," I remarked, a hint of sarcasm in my voice.
"Witch pro max," he muttered under his breath.
"I heard that," I sang, my lips curling into a grin. He grumbled in response as I turned and walked towards the bathroom, bucket in hand. "You know, you can always fight back," I called over my shoulder, my tone laced with amusement.
"Don't you dare!" Rominic shouted angrily, his voice laden with fury. His outburst only served to make me laugh harder.
According to Phineas, when Rominic had tried to fight back against his sister, Rylee, in the past, the encounter had resulted in him getting a black eye and losing three teeth, while Rylee had emerged virtually unscathed. It was clear that she possessed the strength and skill of an assassin.
I dropped the bucket and walked out of the bathroom, turning to Rominic with a grin. "Tell me again how your sister is stronger than you?" I taunted.
"How would I know?" he snapped, his annoyance evident. I couldn't help but laugh at his reaction.
Rominic stood up from the dresser, groaning in pain as he did so. He limped over to the bed and collapsed onto it with a huff. I almost gave in to the urge to help him, but I resisted.
"Damn that woman. What does Phineas see in that monster?" Rominic grumbled.
"It's like asking me what I see in you," I giggled, climbing onto the bed. I would have straddled his legs, but he was clearly in too much pain. Luckily, Rylee didn't break anything like I thought she did. She only bruised him.
Rominic fell back onto the bed with a frustrated sigh. "I'm different from her. I'm not a ty– okay, I am, but I'm not a tyrant to my family," he admitted.
