In For The Win (purobbie)

They both looked up at her, Purah startled and Robbie with his signature grin. "You were right, Z. We're getting along great."

"Well, mostly great," Purah raised an eyebrow. "I think your friend here is just a bit of a blockhead."

"Hey! Just try what I suggested. If it works, and I think it might, I'll refrain from saying 'I told you so'."

Zelda blinked before laughing. "It's like you've known each other for months. I'm glad you're getting along so well."

"We'll wait and see, Zel, we'll wait and see," Purah winked as her friend sat back down. "So, back to your idea. What do you got for us?"

The blond grinned. "You'll love it, I'm sure. Especially since you both love robotics so much," she opened the camera app on her phone, swiping through the pictures before showing them the screen. "This is Terrako."

The picture showed a little egg shape with the characteristic eye of a Guardian and three little legs flopped around it. Purah felt her eyebrow go up and was aware of Robbie leaning closer, an excited smile on his face. "You built this?"

"Yes I did," Zelda smiled, putting her phone away. "It turns on and has some functions, but it could use a lot more work. And since both of you are getting your robotics degrees, I thought it would be perfect for you two to enter in the project!"

"That's brilliant, Zel! I've got so many ideas."

Robbie had a troublemaking smile on his face. "Can I give it weapons?"

Purah snorted and Zelda laughed. "If you can safely demonstrate them, go right ahead and give it weapons."

Robbie let out a quiet woop and the two girls looked at each other, smiling and shaking their heads.

"I wanna get started right away," Purah clapped her hand onto the table. "How soon can we pick it up?"

"This afternoon."

"Oho, this is going to be fun. Hm, yes," Robbie pulled out his phone, offering it to Purah. "Hey, put your number in. I'm probably going to need it."

"Oh! Right, here." She also passed hers over and they both typed in their numbers before switching the phones back.

They didn't notice but Zelda was watching them with a smile.

"What do you mean we can't use the lab?"

Purah and Robbie stood outside the robotics lab, Purah with her hands on her hips and Robbie holding the box that contained Terrako. The robotics professor sighed. "As much as I would love to give you two unrestricted access, I can't. There's too many classes and seminars that happen in here and I don't want people to work around you or you to have to work around people."

Purah frowned and Robbie shifted the box in his hands. After a long moment, she sighed. "We understand. Thank you anyway."

They turned and started making their way down the hall. As soon as they were out of earshot, Purah groaned. "Now what are we supposed to do? My dorm doesn't have enough space to work on this thing and I don't have all the right tools besides."

Robbie was silent for a long moment. "Well, I have access to the weapons lab but that won't have the right tools either. It's not exactly useful until we start adding the weapons," he came to a stop. "There is another option, however."

She turned to him. "What's that?"

"Well, uh," he grinned in an almost nervous manner. "I have a lab--well, something of a lab, in my foster dad's garage. We could go there, if we don't have any options."
