Omniscient Narrative

It was late at night, Kai couldn't shake the weird feeling he had been feeling, he thought it was because Vincent wasn't at home, or because he was the only one -except for the security at the gate- that was at home, but all he knew was that he had a very dark feeling within.

As he sank into sleep, he was unaware of the eyes that watched him, amused and devoted.

Aries

Tonight, the younger man had decided enough was enough.

With complete silence, he cracked the window open, a practiced move that stemmed from countless nights of watching the older man and his husband.

Every sense was alert, driven by the raw longing and delusion that fueled his impulses.

As the room grew darker, the air thickened with tension while Kai slept soundly, oblivious to the impending storm.

When Aries stepped through the window, the sound of glass crinkling echoed mildly in his ears, a reminder of the gravity of what he was about to do.

His heart raced, but not with fear, but with a sense of determination. Here in the shadows, he felt powerful, untouchable.

With careful exactness, he walked toward Kai's bed, mesmerized by the sight of the beautiful man, he looked so peaceful, innocent, so fragile.

The moonlight draped Kai's features, illuminating them in an ethereal glow that only increased Aries's want and need for the man.

The younger man felt into his pants pocket for the injection he brought with him, he pinched an area in the man's flesh before inserting the needle and injecting the medicine into the man.

He then lifted Kai into his arms, cradling him as he would a delicate treasure.

With each step he took away from Kai's bed, he felt the weight of his actions solidifying into something dark.

"Shh," he whispered softly, as if that alone could dull the Flint of actions producing sharp edges against reality. "I'll make you understand Kai, I'll take care of you, I promise."

With skillful movement, he slipped back through the large window.

'You know, if they don't want people sneaking into their house, they shouldn't have made their windows this large and accessible' Aries thought as he looked at the sleeping man in his arms.

He had managed to escape from the house without raising any suspicion-it could be because he had drugged the security and put them to sleep-.

Kai stirred slightly but didn't wake, his body still entrapped in the bliss of dreams as Aries lifted the man from the passenger side and carried him through the woods.

Aries continued walking until he reached a secluded cabin, hidden deep within the woods.

Breathless, he set Kai down gently. 

Stepping inside, the air transformed from crisp, cold outside to the warm, musty feeling inside.

He closed the door and locked before going further into the house, going down into a large room that seemed to look like a hidden room.

In the corner of the room sat a glass box, a space purposely engineered to confine and still offer glimpses of the outside world, though trapped by the glass walls.
