Author's POV:

A week had already passed, the set is alive, buzzing with the usual chaos of filmmaking. Assistants run around carrying scripts, lights flash, and the clatter of equipment fills the air. But amidst all the noise, there's an unmistakable shift in energy. Something intangible crackles whenever Ji Chang-Wook and Y/N are in the same frame.

The crew has started noticing it too-small, fleeting moments between the two. Her awkward stumbles, his amused smirks, the lingering glances that last a heartbeat too long. What was meant to be just another project is slowly transforming into something no script could ever predict.

But Y/N, still grappling with lines she barely understands, has no clue how much attention she's drawing-not just from the cameras but from the man everyone else only dreams of getting close to.

Ji Chang-Wook's POV:

She's late again.

Not that I'm surprised. She's not exactly used to the frantic pace of this world. And honestly? I don't mind. It gives me time to watch her rush in, all flustered and apologetic, mumbling a mix of Korean and English that barely makes sense but somehow charms everyone around her.

When she finally arrives, she's carrying that oversized bag of hers-probably stuffed with snacks, a script, and God knows what else. I lean against the counter of the fake bakery set and wait for her to notice me.

"Late again, huh?" I tease, my voice low enough that only she can hear.

She looks up, her cheeks flushing that shade of pink I've started to like a little too much. "I... traffic," she stammered, clearly flustered.

I smirk. "Traffic? You're staying across the street."

Her eyes widen, and I almost laugh at how easily she's caught. "I-I needed coffee!" she blurts out, holding up a cup as proof.

I

t's adorable, really. The way she fumbles for excuses. And as much as I try to keep things professional, there's something about her that makes it impossible. Maybe it's the way she doesn't try to impress anyone or the fact that she's so obviously out of her element. Either way, she's got me hooked.

"Let's hope coffee helps you remember your lines this time," I say, raising an eyebrow.

She groans, her face falling dramatically. "Don't remind me. I'm already stressed out."

I chuckle, leaning in slightly. "Relax. If you mess up, I'll cover for you. Again."

She looks up at me, surprised. "You're too nice," she mutters, almost like she doesn't believe it.

If only she knew.

Y/N's POV:

Why does he have to look at me like that?

It's bad enough that I'm struggling to keep up with the language, the lines, and, well, everything. But every time Ji Chang-Wook so much as glances my way, my brain decides to take a vacation.

I mean, how is a girl supposed to concentrate when Ji freaking Chang-Wook is standing there, smirking like he knows every single thought running through my head?

"Spoiler alert: most of those thoughts are inappropriate."

"Focus, Y/N," I mutter to myself, clutching my script like it's a lifeline.

"Talking to yourself again?" his voice cuts through my thoughts, and I look up to see him watching me with that stupid, gorgeous smile.

"Nope. Just... memorizing," I lie, holding up the script as proof.

He doesn't look convinced. "Uh-huh. Sure."

Great. Now he thinks I'm crazy.

As the scene begins, I do my best to stay in character. I've rehearsed this in my head a million times, but when Ji Chang-Wook walks into the fake bakery, looking effortlessly perfect, my brain decides to malfunction.

"You... uh..." I pause, trying to remember my line.

His lips twitch like he's holding back a laugh. "Do you need help, or are you just going to stare at me all day?"

The crew laughs, and I want to crawl into a hole and die. "I got this," I snap, my face burning.

"Take your time," he says, his voice soft but teasing.

I glare at him, but it's no use. He's enjoying this way too much.

Author's POV:

By the end of the day, it's clear to everyone on set that Y/N and Ji Chang-Wook have something special-something that can't be directed or rehearsed. Their chemistry is undeniable, and even though Y/N is still finding her footing, there's a spark between them that lights up every scene.

But behind the cameras, away from the prying eyes of the crew, something deeper is starting to grow. Whether it's friendship, attraction, or something neither of them can define just yet, one thing is certain: this story is only just beginning.
