"Leo Burnham took it. And I got it back when I joined their army against wights." Emma said.
"Too bad we weren't in condition to fight after Devil's Acre fell. Sometimes I wonder if American peculiars actually got all the resources they needed, the world might look different now." Olive said. "But since Leo got assassinated like a month later, I guess it wouldn't have made a difference."
"Yeah, we never stood a chance." Emma agreed. "I'm really glad you made sure the car got here. I can't thank you enough."
"I know the Portmans meant way more to you than to the rest of us, but Abe and Jacob are my families, too." Olive said. "It's at least I can do."
"Driving their car, hunting the monsters they used to kill. Like the old days never really pass." Emma said. "But would you mind tell me why we have to capture a hollowgast? You don't just go kidnap a homicidal monster for fun."
Olive stared at the car.
"Olive? Why do you even need a hollowgast?" Emma questioned.
"I can't tell you. I can only say Francesca has a plan that may give our side a chance to challenge Caul." Olive replied reluctantly, "Please don't ask any further."

Morning in the office building was crowded with people.
As John and Blanche made their way towards the stairs, someone called them. "Are you Jonathan Hill and Blanche Wilson?" the owner of this voice was a little girl.
"Yes?" John replied.
"Then I will need you to come with me, Miss Bittern is waiting." She said.
Following the girl, they came to the ymbryne's office. She pulled the door open and held the door to let them enter.
"Welcome, Mr. Hill and Miss Blanche." Miss Bittern said. "I want to introduce you to Mr. Bekhmanatov, whom you will be working under."
A teenage girl and an empty suit of clothe sat on a couch that definitely wasn't there the last time John was here. The girl nodded at the empty clothe and it stood up like someone was really in it.
"I'm Radi Bekhmanatov," the empty space where the head should be spoke, "I'm here on behalf of the head of Department of Mapping, Mr. Louis Müller. We hope Miss Blanche could join us and provide us with up-to-date information on modern Europe."
"But I thought used to live there not long ago?" Blanche asked.
"We were already too detached from the present when we flee Devil's Acre." Miss Bittern explained. "We can use some new information."
"Understood," Blanche replied.
"If you don't have any issue with this assignment, Mr. Bekhmanatov will take you to the mapping department." The ymbryne said.
After Radi and Blanche left, Miss Bittern gestured John to sit down. "As for you. Sophie and I would like to have a word with you."
"I heard you are the last owner of Pensevus, is that right?" the girl on the couch, Sophie, spoke.
"Yes. I found it in a junkyard about three months ago." John recalled.
"And you mentioned a peculiar in Chalatine had a prophetic dream about Penny? Did he describe what he saw?" asked Miss Bittern.
"He just said the doll have a role to play in our future, and then he showed me part of his dream, mainly things before I came to Chalatine and shortly after we left there." John replied. Talking about people of that coast town made him uncomfortable, knowing that they sacrificed their lives getting him and Penny across the ocean only for nothing to be done.
