A new challenge

Chapter 8: Shopping Spree

It was around an hour later when Bethany and Deanna woke up again and made their way up to the main living room. Everyone but Fury and Jamelah were sitting watching the TV, waiting for the two girls to wake up from their slumber. However, non of them seemed interested in what was on.

Slowly the pair made their way over to the adults, both waiting near the sofa. Pepper was the one to notice the girls and quickly rose from her seat. "Are you ready to go shopping now?" She asked gently, walking over to the girls and crouching down in front of them.

Silently Bethany and Deanna nodded and Natasha got to her feet too. "We won't be too long." Natasha informed the men.

"Don't destroy the tower while we're gone." Pepper added. Bethany and Deanna waved to the guys as they followed Pepper and Natasha to the garage. Once there they jumped into Peppers Audi s7, Natasha making sure both girls had their seat belts on securely and they were safe.

"We're going to need car seats as well." Pepper noted as she pulled out of the garage and onto the streets of New York. It took ten minuets to get to the mall (shopping centre) and another few minuets to find a parking space. Once parked Pepper took Bethany's had while Natasha took Deanna's.

"Where shall we go girls?" Natasha asked as they enter the mall itself. Plenty of shops stood before them but the two little girls dragged the woman straight to a shop called 'Spring Flowers'. (A/N: Spring Flowers is a really children's clothes store in New York, I researched it!)

The shop itself was bright and full of all sorts of clothes, shoes and accessories. "Let's work our way round then." Pepper said with a nod. Around an hour later the four females exited the shop with several bags, each full of different types of clothes in all different colours.

T-shirt, blouses, shorts, trousers, leggings, jogging bottoms, skirts, dress, underwear, socks, dolly shoes, boots, trainers, PJ's, headbands, hair ties, clips. All the clothes the young girls had brought came in many different colours and designs, but mostly green and purple.

Once everything was loaded into the trunk (boot) of the car Pepper sat with the girls in a cafe while Natasha went in search of two car seats. "So, have you got everything you wanted?" Pepper asked as she took a sip of her coffee.

"More than what we wanted, thank you." Bethany replied as she placed her glass of water back on the table.

"Yes thank you Pepper." Deanna added, her hands mindlessly playing with her empty water glass. "It's been fun."

"Well I'm glad you've had fun." Pepper replied. "Which reminds me." Bethany and Deanna exchanged looks before raising an eyebrow at the PA. "We've all been thinking that you two should go to school, get to know children you're own age and play with them."

"That would be nice!" Deanna chirped.

"But don't we have a high intellect than children our own age?" Bethany asked.

"That you do so while at the Tower the guys have offered to teach you as well but we thought it would be a nice idea for you to meet children your age." Pepper replied. "You start tomorrow!"

"I've got the car seats!" Natasha exclaimed, suddenly appearing next to the table with two bags in her hands. "One green and one purple, took me a while but I found them!"

"Thank you Nat." Pepper nodded. "Now let's get back, it's nearly time for dinner and you two need a good nights sleep ready for tomorrow!"
