Need a Explaination

Cosmos alarm went off, he slowly sat up from his bed, rubbing his eyes and yawning. Today is gonna be a long day.

He quickly got ready for the day, he put on his clothes, redid his frosting and cheeks before heading out of his dorm, the place was gonna open in 2 hours so he had to quickly start baking for the kids, normally there were 60 kids per day but since there's a new toon, aka sprout, there's gonna be way more kids. As Cosmo kept thinking about what was going to happen he bumped into sprout.

"Hey Cosmo! How did you sleep?" Sprout helped him up "you sleep good?"

"Oh, yes! I did.. thanks for asking, how about you?" Cosmo got up, before grinning.

"I slept amazingly, I was just walking to the inbuilt bakery, are you too?" He grabbed cosmos hand "let's go together buddy!"

Cosmos face got a little red but shook it off "I-i was too.. I don't mind.."

Why was he being so nice?

Once they made it to the bakery Cosmo let go of sprouts hand, he took notice of the new and longer apron next to his smaller one, he guessed it was for sprout.

"Okay, so, what are we going to make today?" Sprout grabbed his apron and quickly put it on, Cosmo did the same.
