The Missing Element (Book 3)

Chapter 15

Mia

I felt a light shine in my eyes as I slept. I open them up to see the familiar white light in front of me. I was back in this dark place again, but this time I was wearing my old costume.

The other elements weren't here yet. It was only the wind spirt and me. He was floating above me. And it felt like he was staring at me even though he had no eyes.

It felt calming, almost like home.

I raised my hand to touch him, wanting to feel that cool calming feeling some more. I was only halfway there when I could already feel the wind breeze through my fingers.

I was just about to touch him when I heard the other spirits coming. The light quickly moved away from me, causing me to feel a little upset.

I got up to my feet to see the others racing our way. It was still pitch dark everywhere, but it looked as if they were having some sort of race in the far distant.

I smiled as I saw them push one another, trying to get here first. But then I realized they weren't slowing down and coming at me full speed. I was about to move out of the way when the wind spirit suddenly enters my body.

My whole body felt as if I were made out of air. The feeling felt amazing, and I felt so much power run through my veins. My hands raised up on their own, making a big gust of wind blowing the other spirits back.

This wind was nothing like my own. This one felt more controlled and steadier. Like I was the wind that pushed them back.

   
  Before I could register what happen the wind spirit comes out of my body. The minute he did I fell to my knees feeling lightheaded. The other spirits came over and floated above me.

"Now you know what our power feels like. That power will be yours after your training." He says.

"I can't be in your level. This is who you are, you are the elements. How can I ever match your strength." 

"We aren't expecting you to be us, we want you to be able to use us." The fire spirits says.

He flys over to me and enters my body with no warning. This time I felt warm all over. It felt nice. It felt like Axel wrapping his arms around me while we slept.

  "We are connected Mia, now that you feel me, I want you to use my power." I hear him speak in my head.

I didn't feel like I could use his power. With the wind spirit it felt like he was controlling me, not the other way around.

   Suddenly I start to fall. I fell for what felt like 10 minutes until I fell on a soft bed of grass. I opened my eyes to see a clear blue sky. At first I thought that I finally woke up. But as I sat up I realized I was still sleeping.

   
I was in the middle of a meadow. Beautiful pink, blue and purple flowers popped out of the bright green grass. This place was beautiful, it made me feel like home.

I stood up and brushed the grass from my costume. The other three elements popped up out of nowhere, scaring the living day light out of me.

I watched as the lights shifted into what looked like a humen figure, but they were still made out of their elements. They had no facial features, so they looked a little weird.

"Um, so why are we here? And why do you all look like that?" I ask.
   
  "We thought this would be easier for you to talk to us. Also you need a place to train." The earth spirits says.
