✨ • Chapter 17 • ✨

"Now that I've seen what you two have, it's my turn." All For One grinned.

Katsuki blasted towards All For One, with Izuku trailing behind him, both dodging his attacks with Katsuki swerving around them and Izuku using One For All to propel himself away.

Their battle quickly rose into the air, given whatever quirk All For One had to keep him up in the air, and Katsuki and Izuku used their quirks to adapt to the higher altitude.

They both exchanged blows at All For One's body, the two being careful to not send any blowback from their quirks to one another while still going all out to weaken All For One.

Katsuki would give Izuku a signal for when he stored enough sweat to make a big enough blast.

When Izuku was away, Katsuki let it go off, with Izuku coming in like he did earlier, only this time, powering up both arms to try and land multiple powerful hits on All For One. One 100% punch was enough to blow him back so multiple should cause a bigger reaction to his body, at least, Izuku hoped that would be the case.

But the more powerful punches he landed, the more he was only damaging his own body, the gloves from his hero suit ripping off from their seams until his sleeves had completely disintegrated from all the blowback. His knuckles bleed, as well as the scars around his hands and arms that were reopened from the pressure.

Katsuki watched in horror, realizing Izuku was going too far. He was pushing himself too much because he was afraid of losing. Not only that but there was one thing he quickly realized about the Omega the longer he'd gotten to know him. He'd keep pushing himself towards victory, even if it meant destroying himself.

It was admirable, in a way, but when it was someone Katsuki cared about, it was something that also scared him.

Despite Izuku being vulnerable around him in private, whenever it came to training, simulation battles, to anything and everything that had to do with winning, Izuku wouldn't give up no matter what the cost. It was like seeing a different person almost, but he knew deep down this was who Izuku truly was. No matter how scared he was, he wouldn't give up.

But right now, Katsuki couldn't let him continue fighting this way. If Izuku lost all feeling in his arms, they wouldn't be able to get any further to victory.

Though it seemed All For One's body was finally starting to get some damage to it, he wasn't out of commission. When he could see an opening, he slugged Izuku in his face, pushing him out of the way and unable to move momentarily.

"Not bad for an Omega... But you're still weak!"

Seeing as Izuku wasn't able to react, All For One launched black and red tendrils towards his body. Due to being in the air, even if Izuku were to clear his fuzzy vision and realize what was coming, he was at a disadvantage.

At that moment, Katsuki didn't think about what he was doing. He didn't have any thoughts in his head nor any control over what his body was doing. His hands blasted him towards Izuku's falling body, pushing him away as the tendrils all stabbed through his chest, causing blood to be coughed up from his mouth after the impact.

Once Izuku's consciousness came back to him, he was met with seeing Katsuki's impaled body. Seeing that suddenly caused everything around him to stop as he needed to process what was going on, as it couldn't possibly be real.

His head simply played memories of him and Katsuki together as all he could do was helplessly watch as the Alpha bled out.

"What the hell are you doing in the alpha dorms, Omega?"

"Look, if you need help in the hero course, I can give you textbooks, notes, and anything else you need. That's my major too."

"Looks like I win this time. But, don't let that discourage you. Be proud that we're equals on the battlefield."

"You're in heat... Want me to help you?"

"Izuku, if you made me uncomfortable, I wouldn't have stayed here the whole week... Is it not obvious?... I love you."

"Shut up, I don't care about my stupid family or its name! All I care about is getting Izuku back into that Hero program! Who gives a fuck if he's an Omega!?"

"You... You have All Might's power?"

"There's a reason he chose you, and I for one believe he chose the right person."

"You are strong, Izuku."

"I'll be right by your side the whole time..."

Right by your side... The whole time...

Those words echoed in Izuku's mind as he came back to face reality.

The tendrils left his body, leaving a large hole in his chest. His body started falling towards the ground until Izuku darted towards him, grabbing him into his hold and landing softly onto the ground below.

He held Katsuki close as he started to cry, his tears dripping down upon the Alpha's seemingly lifeless body.

"Kacchan... I'm so sorry... This is all my fault! If only I had... If I just had..."

All For One laugh had grown louder, alarming Izuku, causing him to take his eyes off of Katsuki and look up at the villain instead.

"What a wonderful display! It really brings back memories... Only back then, I killed my weak, Omega brother first, watching his Alpha mourn over his death before he swore to kill me, only for him to die shortly after. How I love when history repeats itself... Just think... You could've avoided this if you just played the role you were born into. But no... Why do that? Why be happily mated and bring pups into the world when you can chase after a false dream and watch as everyone you once loved dies in front of you? Now, all you can do is be regretful... Such a sad, pathetic, existence, don't you think?"

Izuku gently laid Katsuki down, getting up and walking toward All For One, his anger only growing as he did.

He couldn't control his emotions anymore... All the sadness, fear, and rage he felt spiraled out of control as One For All surged throughout his entire body, eyes glowing bright green as sparks bursted out through his body.

Normally, All For One would laugh at such a display, seeing as it was a typical response to a hero raging over the death of a loved one, but his heart sank as he looked down at the Omega.

Either he was going crazy, or he could see the spirit of his younger brother behind All Might's successor, with a look he'd never seen on his face before.

Yoichi was always either happy or sad whenever he was around him as they grew up, so seeing him give such an enraged look felt like daggers in his chest.

"You won't get away with this, All For One... You've killed millions of innocent lives... You've hurt the people I care deeply about... I'm done feeling like a useless Omega... This is the end of your story. This repeated history has a new ending and I'll be the one to write it!"
