Chapter 17: Cops and coffee

It was about ten pm, Ellie was down in the kitchen that night, on her laptop, caffeinating herself, as pure usual. She was studying english and working on her latest assignment. She felt someone tap her shoulder. She jumped. Well can you blame her for what's going on at the moment? "Hey Ellie, I don't know whats going on with you and your friends at the mo, but I just want to thank you." smirked Holly, another sorority sister. "Thank me?" Ellie replied, confused. "Yes, thank you for the lovely male models who are sitting outside our house twenty four seven." she winked and skipped away, her pony tail swinging from all directions. Ellie cracked a slight smile and continued typing away. She got distracted by the window over the sink, she walked over and took a glimpse at the two cops in the car sitting outside. "Hmm" she thought. She decided to be nice and make them both coffee, since that was Ellie's forte and if they're going to be up all night, they're gonna need it!

*Knock knock* she tapped on the window of the car. One tanned, muscular, brown eyed, dark brown hair cop rolled the window down. "Aww" he said smiling. "Do you read minds?" he asked. "Ha, what?" I replied. "I was just telling him how much I was craving coffee, you're a life saver!" he said pointing to the other equally good looking cop beside him. "Oh, yeah, no problem, I just thought that you're gonna need it, yanno, being up all night and everything. Oh yeah so you haven't seen anything or anyone suspicious have you?" she asked. "No, why has someone texted you or sent you anything?" he said, alarmed. "Oh, no! I was just wondering if you'd seen anyone." I said, awkwardly laughing. "Oh right, no we haven't!" he replied, giving a slight right sided smile. "But if you get anything weird sent to you make sure you let us know straight away okay?" the other cop said to me. "Oh yeah, definitely!" I replied. I started to walk away back up the path into the house. "Hey!" I heard. I turned around, "Thanks again for the coffee!" he said, lifting his mug up. I smiled and shut the door.
