Everyone wears a mask of some kind. It helps them play well with others. We're all strangers to our parents. They love us, but they don't really know us. And sometimes before we get a chance to know them, they're gone. And then you can't ask them all the things you want to know about turnips or turkey gizzards or what they were like when they were young. Then you never can know them, not really.
